Genshin Impact, and my review about it! (As a casual f2p player, AR31)

in Hive Gaming27 days ago

Hello my dear bloggers! It has been a long time ever since i posted a game review or just a videogame related game, huh? Eitherway, enjoy this post!

As you may have already read in the title, today im talking about my experience about Genshin Impact, talking about some factors and leaving a little review as well! By the way, i joined on the patch 4.5, so im pretty much a very new player. I have two accounts, One on AR27(Old account, switched since i regretted choosing Aether bhah) and a Ar31(current main account, I have lumine there). And obviously, Im only going to be talking about the game. If i had to talk about its fandom, id rather pass...

Map, Interactive map and exploration.

Honestly, the map really impressed me. Obviously, because the game has been releasing more parts of the game ever since it was released, im able to have a big map by now. If i joined earlier, itd be a big difference. The exploration overall is very enjoyable in my opinion, although i cant say muh since mostly everything i did was just unlock statues of the seven to have most of the map just unlocked- not fully explored... i still have some statues of the seven left on sumeru, dragonspine(because i unlocked it on my old account and it was an absolute nightmare to expore, i hate it) and obviously all of inazuma since i still havent unlocked the archon quest lmao...

Although, the brief exploring experience ive had until now was pretty enjoyable. The quality of the graphics really helped out quite a lot! The experience is pretty beautiful, its also worth mentioning the good graphics it has, even on mobile devices.

Archon and World quests.

Honestly, the games lore is very interesting, but im too lazy to read allat, honestly... the concept of the overall story is pretty good. I dont know much since im easily forgetful and game storyquests are very boring for me, but i have good memory when it comes to visual memory. So, the animations and the visual effects are pretty enjoyable, at least for me. One thing i really didnt like, was that the traveller doesnt talk on story quests... its a bit sad but i get its pretty understandable, at least in my opinion. Considering how much the voice actors would have to say to make up to the thousands of thousands of voicelines the traveller says in the whole game, as the main character...

Adventure level, world level, and fighting.

Honestly, since im a low ar player its been pretty easy to level up, and since my first two 10 pulls on the beginners banner got me bennet, xinqiu, noelle, xiangling, and chongyun(pretty good luck if im being honest) i got a very easy start. So, world level and mobs have not been a big issue at all, at least for now. The fighting system is pretty enjoyable as well, the element infusions, both elemental and physical damage, and the different weapon types the game includes and are used ingame. Ive actually never been a rpg game enjoyer, but i really like playing this game.

Characters and their designs

Obviously, i HAD to include this section. Im absolutely OBSESSED with the character designs, not even kidding, every single small detail in characters and the story behind each one of them, not even only the playable characters, but also the NPCs. All the characters and mobs are so absolutely beautiful and so well designed! Obviously, hilichruls(and their variations) as well as abyss mages are both annoying and ugly, so they can take that big L.

Gacha System

Obviously, i had to include this on this post. One of the biggest reasons of why genshin impact is so well known, is because of its gambling, or also called as "gacha system". The pity system itself its pretty confusing for starter players, it was hard to understand for me as well, but not that much a problem since i barely pull for characters since im f2p and too lazy to farm lol. The system itself its okay, but considering the amount of currency you neet to pull for gacha is a bit amusing, to make a ten pull that can hardly guarantee you a good 4 star character or weapon, that its not even guaranteed to be a new one as well, means you have to spend 1600 protogems... and i dont even want to start about how hard it is to reach that amount as a f2p player, as well... But, enough yapping. If you want to know a bit about the pity system, here is a small preview of how it would normally work.

Now, limited banners. I know im quite new and i havent seen many limited banners yet, but i know quite a bit about it already. And, being fully honest, its quite okay. I like how they add two characters every 20 days to variate and rerun old characters that people really want to get and maybe havent got the chance to unlock yet. Right now, im trying my best to farm enough for a 10 pull so i can try and get Scaramouche(which would also be my first 5 star as well) since im on 67 pity atm, i might have a chance lol. If not, ill just wait for the next banner... and hopefully i dont lose my 50/50.

My final review!

Honestly, the game itself its good. Graphics, gameplay, engagement, and all the factors that make you enjoy playing it. I honestly play a lot, even for a casual player, i probably spend like 30hs playing genshin impact, weekly. Lol.

If i have to rate from 1-10, id give it a solid 8.5. Honestly, just because im poor, either way id enjoy the game itself more fully and have a better gameplay expereience, apart from that, the game iself is pretty enjoyable.

Thats all for today, see you again tmorow:) Dont forget to leave ur vote, take care!
