Fog of War is a rule set that removes the abilities Sneak, Snipe and Opportunity from all monsters that have them, preventing many Meeles from being able to attack from the back line. The only way is to Reach, but they need to be in second position, just behind the tanker. With this, you can position your weakest cards defensively in the last positions on the field.

Fog of War Rule Set

Opportunity, Sneak and Snipe abilities. All monsters that have these abilities lose them in the Fog of War ruleset.

With this rule active, only one ability that allows monsters to attack the opponent's back line can be used without losing its effect. This is Scattershot, which causes its holders to select a random target.

Scattershot Ability

That's why the use of this skill becomes very interesting in this rule. To be safe, in case your opponent does the same, placing a monster with Triage is a good idea defensively speaking.

Triage Ability

Even so, the use of a good tanker on the front line is extremely important, as the number of monsters with the abilities mentioned above is very limited per element.

Not only that, but the use of good supports to heal you and remove negative effects also needs to be taken into account.

The weekly challenge rule appeared in a tournament I took part in, along with two others. The first one makes it so that only Neutral element monsters can be used.

The second punishes the use of monsters with the Taunt ability.

The amount of mana was 99, which is currently considered unlimited, as there is no way to exceed that number at the moment.

I chose the summoner Possibilus The Wise, allowing the Meeles in second position on the field to attack.

I then placed Mantaroth in that position, and in front was Arkemis The Bear. I added the Drybone Raider to remove the armor and facilitate attacks, the Disintegrator to reduce the damage of the opponent's Meeles, and 2 more spells.

My opponent chose the summoner Avina of the Wolf and added the healing ability to his tanker, which was Mantaroth. In addition, he placed another Meele that can attack from second position and 4 more magicians, 2 of which have no attacks, but which are acquired by the ability Weapons Training of the monster in the middle of the back line.

His plan was to make the Mantaroth hold the damage with the healing, and as it is very efficient at holding off attacks from Meeles and Ranges, he thought it was a good strategy.

However, it didn't work out so well. In the first round, his tanker was left with only 2 life points after the Poison applied by my Doctor Blight.

However, this didn't work out so well. In the first round, his tanker was left with only 2 life points after the Poison applied by my Doctor Blight.

So in the second round, he was eliminated, along with his second Meele. My main tanker was also defeated, but I still had the upper hand when it came to damage.

My Drybone could now not only deal 2 Range attacks, but also 2 Meele attacks, for a total of 8 points of damage.

So in the fourth round, I win the battle.

My opponent placed a monster that was quite strong in attack and defense, but the fact that it dealt the most damage meant that its positioning wasn't the most interesting. In any case, he would need to use another summoner to put it in another position on the field, and I think that's the most important point in the match. I used that same monster, the Mantaroth, but I placed it in the second position and because of the summoner I chose, it was allowed to attack from that spot. It made a big difference to the attack and was the biggest damage dealer in the battle.

This shows that the summoner is also extremely important in battles with the Fog of War rule set, which is why you should think carefully about which one to choose.

I hope you've learned something and can improve your gameplay in Splinterlands. See you later!

Regra Fog of War

Habilidades Opportunity, Sneak e Snipe.

Coloquei então o Mantaroth nessa posição, e a frente ficou o Arkemis The Bear.
