Apparently, the girl in danger, Fiona, who we rescued was not really in trouble. She lured us to the bandit hideout where we faced the criminals who labeled themselves as 'The Wolf Pack'. There was no challenge at all aside from their numbers they were even weaker than common filed monsters. We tried to talk it out to Fiona because we learnt from their conversation that they were taking her friends as hostages but the girl's attitude was still bad-tempered as ever. He spitting some really irritable words she fled and of course, being the 'concerned' hero in this scenario we chased her.

It turned that lives in a refugee settlement. The village was not very lively. Given that we were still in the Ruins of Atrasia the eerie vibe didn't seem to disperse. Aside from the eeriness permeating through the air there was also this fearful vibe one could see in everyone's faces.

We saw a man standing at the corner. He wore a weird looking hat that hid his eyes. When we approach he asked us what were we doing in the vicinity of the so-called 'House'. As the conversation went on we found out that after the kingdom was destroyed 10 years ago on the day of the Dragon's Fury everywhere in the vicinity was in turmoil. The survivors degenerated turned to violence and looting. People banded together and factions were eventually formed which they referred to as 'Houses'. We learnt that we were in the vicinity of House Edward which were named after their mayor. We asked about Fiona but they were not that close so he pointed us to a lady which happened to be friends with the bad-tempered girl.

We spoke with Tia and obtained some interesting information. She last Fiona this morning which was quite useless since we wanted to know where she was at that time. But she mentioned about the Boar Tribe which frequently attacks them. Apparently, the pigs were gathering near the southern forest. It reminded me of an arc in the anime-manga That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, the Orc Lord Incident.

We were still searching for Fiona when we stumbled upon Mayor Edward. We thought that since he was the mayor he'd be more neat and presentable but it seemed that even people in power were also struggling in this place. He's the third person we met so far and unsurprisingly his eyes were also hidden like the other two we previously met. What was wrong with this village, I told myself. Anyways, we had a conversation with him and we learnt that Fiona often did mischiefs like stealing food. It appeared that Fiona was an orphan so no one taught her good manners. The conversation continued until we got the gist of the reason why the pesky child baited us to the Wolf Pack Bandits.

It turned out that that morning Fiona asked the Wolf pack to help the house evacuate safely. We guessed that to she had no choice since it was a matter of life and death for her friends in the village. But she was still gullible, bandits are not to be trusted after all.

The girl was nowhere to be found. We've decided to go to the southern forest to investigate. We were seeing ourselves off until someone called to us. It was her, the irritable girl named Fiona. She was almost on her knees pleading for help asking us to help their village.

I just hoped that NNK has more freedom like those sandbox games. I'd gladly reject her offer if there was such a thing. But it was all preset so what choice did I have. Cluu already forgave her and asked her to lead the way.

It's been so long since we've seen some orcs from the Golden Grove and the Serene Forest. But what we've noticed that there was something different around them compared to the previous orcs we knew. Even as mobs they usually have their dialogue but that they all they did was roar and attack. There some aura of corruption as even these beasts used to have some way of communication. Anyways, they were attacking the townspeople including the mayor so we did punished them. We thought that they were quite tough until we found that we were using the wrong element for rifle. These boars were of earth element and we didn't notice that we were using our Water set so that damage output was actually halved.

After rescuing them the mayor begged us to protect them for a few days which was something I really don't like because it's literally exploiting our kindness. LOL. Cluu had the same opinion as mine but Luxerion differed saying that a few days wouldn't hurt. This damned dragon was a pushover. We had a team meeting. The two animals argued. Cluu was quite on point. Since the Dark Lord was destroying the world did we still have the time to help these people given that we already did a big favor twice. At the end it was Luxerion that won. Yes, good over evil. Luxerion over Cluu.
