Considered the greatest football video game in history, a franchise that moves millions of dollars and also millions of competitors, this game began as an innovative proposal in the early 90's seeing the light of day on the Sega Megadrive console also known as Genesis.

The same could be played on PC, Super Nintendo and Sega CD, personally my first contact with the game was through my aracaica computer and it took me a lot to learn to play it because for the time it seemed complicated.

The video game FIFA 94, also known as FIFA International Soccer, was released in 1993 by the Extended Play Productions team of Electronic Arts Canada and marketed by Electronic Arts (EA), being the first game released under that label and marked the beginning of a successful franchise of football games.

In FIFA 94, gamers had the opportunity to enjoy the thrill of football on their console.

The game featured real teams and players from different leagues and national teams, which gave it a touch of authenticity.

The gameplay focused on 11 vs. 11 football matches, where players could control their team and compete against artificial intelligence or against friends in multiplayer mode.

Although the graphics and gameplay were rather simple compared to modern games, FIFA 94 was a milestone in its time and laid the foundation for football games to come.

In addition, FIFA 94 introduced the famous isometric perspective, which allowed a diagonal view of the pitch, giving it a unique visual style.

FIFA 94 was a revolutionary game in its time, with a total of 49 teams, 48 national teams and one generic team, the EA All Star, although the players had fake names as the official FIFA licence was only for the teams, they were easily recognisable.

It had only one predetermined playing field which in the options menu could be chosen whether it was natural or artificial turf and whether the weather was hot, dry or humid.

It was controlled by the keyboard so it was very difficult to pass correctly, which is why it also had an option to play with a joystick.

It was undoubtedly a challenge that set standards in the world of this sport.
