Splinterlands - NFTs Getting Popular (Weekly Post)

Its been somewhat of a roller coaster ride in crypto prices the past few days. This has look over my crypto portfolio a lot less as I can not stand the gyrations of big down red days. Although one bright spot I have notice is how stable Splinterlands NFTs are. As of now I have not seen any major dip in my card collection nor the overall market cap.

In fact market cap has continue to increase even during the massive draw down we witness in BTC and altcoins yesterday. This must be signs that Splinterlands is popular enough to maintain demand.

Data from Crypto Slam on Splinterland cards trading for WAX have continue to climb since first month of introduction in Feb. 2021. Almost $75k worth of WAX have been traded for Splinterlands since then. The average sale per card has stayed above $2 since trades were tracked.

Then there is the in game trading volume and the past 24 hours it has hit over $15k! The trades with WAX is barely hitting the surface with what is being traded in the game internally.

This is leading me to believe that more growth in Splinterlands NFTs are to come. This is base on the premises that if WAX trades are averaging around $20k a month since Feb. compared to daily trading of $15k within the game, we are looking at about 5% of Splinterlands cards trading outside the Hive ecosystem.

Many of the top NFTs trading base on Crypto Slam are either ETH or WAX. To see Splinterlands gain maket share in WAX and maybe even ETH in the future will bring in more buyers and higher prices as we look further ahead. Who would have thought with so much blood in crypto prices that we are seeing potentially huge growth in Splinterlands card prices?

Splinterlands was already somewhat of a safe haven last time Steem crashed. Let's see if it can pull of that trick once more if Hive continues to depreciate.
