This past Friday, Mazer Gaming, and its content creators were invited to participate in a pre-alpha playtest for @GoGalaGames’s, “The Walking Dead: Empires.” The game takes all the addicting and fun aspects of the MMORPG genre, and combines them handedly with the post-apocalyptic world of AMC’s landmark television series, The Walking Dead.
Are you a die-hard fan of Robert Kirkman’s modern masterpiece, as well as an avid enjoyer of all things MMORPGs, but aren’t 100% sure about checking the game out for yourself? Here’s a little feedback from our creators that may just have you wanting to don your black leather jacket and unsheathe your katana to take on the desolated, walker-filled world of The Walking Dead: Empires.
Jules: “TWD: Empires is a great homage to what the show has been for so long. I felt the fear in running out of ammo and the zombies were unpredictable. I had a blast playing, and I could see myself getting addicted to playing. I had so much fun! The world felt lived in and the attention to detail this early into development was noticeable. The game felt smooth and I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it.”
Frankie: “I had a blast. The game was extremely well put together and for how early it is in the process, felt like an almost completed game. The game 100% relies on teamwork and delivered a really good sense of how they want Allies to work together.”
CountXevious: “Loved the game and gameplay was fresh. I liked the fact that you could kinda customize your headquarters.”
Jeffska: “I thought it was a great experience jumping into TWD: Empires with the dev team and fellow creators. First time checking out a game that’s associated with the blockchain and was blown away about how awesome the graphics and gameplay at this state of development. They (devs) were super welcoming and informative which made things super easy peasy. Appreciated the experience.”
