Hoy les vengo hablar de un videojuego para la Game Boy, tengo tiempo que no hablo de un juego de esta mítica consola, pero en estos días me crucé con un juego que jugué mucho de niño y jamás pude avanzar con él, es un juego de aventuras de plataformas, donde hay que salvar el mundo.
Este juego pertenece a una franquicia famosa sobre un Dragon morado, estoy hablando de Spyro, un Dragon audaz que le gusta mucho las aventuras, más de uno de esta comunidad lo debe conocer, Spyro tiene muchos juegos en un montón de consolas, personalmente nunca he sido fanático de esta saga, pero debo decir que de niño jugué un juego que la verdad me trae buenos recuerdos.
Un juego de Spyro para la Game Boy, Spyro tiene muchos videojuegos en esta consola, pero hay uno en específico que logré jugar en el emulador de la Xbox clásica, estoy hablando de Spyro Season of Ice un juego de Spyro para la Game Boy de los muchos que salieron para esta consola, no estoy seguro si este es el primero de la saga en Game Boy, pero si fue el que jugué y tiene una historia más que interesante.
Todo comienza con nuestros héroes descansando en una playa, literalmente jaja, de la nada una nota amarrada a un globo llega ante ellos, la chica abre la carta y es una llamada de auxilio, resulta que un duende malvado ha robado el libro mágico de las hadas, la tierra de las hadas está en peligro y si no hacemos algo al respecto el susodicho duende dominará el mundo.
Durante la trama del juego veremos a varias hadas congeladas por todos los niveles, nuestro principal objetivo con Spyro será liberarlas de ese hechizo maléfico la cual las tiene presas, el duende malvado las encerró para que no intervinieran en sus planes, lo que provoca que el mundo de las hadas entre en conflicto con el demás mundo conectados, ya que, sin la magia de las hadas, los mundos no se pueden comunicar entre sí.
Una historia bastante interesante que por supuesto no entendía de pequeño ya que no sabía leer en inglés jaja, desde niño este mundo de Spyro me ha parecido muy colorido y carismático, tengo buenos recuerdos de este juego gracias a los mundos, tengo que decir que es un juego que nunca logré terminar, es más casi ni avancé en la historia, tengo entendido que Spyro Season of Ice tiene un total de 12 mundos que explorar, bueno yo creo que máximo llegue al tercero jaja, ya que el juego no lo entendía y aparte tampoco es que le gustaba mucho a mis familiares en ese momento para ayudarme a pasarme el juego.
Así que les hablaré de los primeros tres mundos del juego que son los que más recuerdo, para empezar tenemos el mundo de las hadas colapsado, este mundo no cuenta ya que es el que nos conecta con los demás mundos restantes, digamos que sería como una pantalla de selección en el juego mismo, para acceder a los mundos tenemos que ingresar a los portales que dicho sea de paso me recuerdan un poco a Harry Poter, pero eso es otro tema, para desbloquear los portales tenemos que cumplir con las obligaciones del sitio.
Por ejemplo, Spyro debe rescatar a tres hadas que están congeladas a lo largo del mapa, también hay que conseguir una determinada cantidad de gemas y con eso desbloquearemos el primer nivel que yo le llamo el volcán, un nivel donde estaremos rodeados de lava, si saltamos a la nos vamos a morir por su puesto jaja, en este mundo tenemos que rescatar a las hadas congeladas, pero también debemos tener cuidado con los enemigos de este nivel los cuales son duendes que actúan como cavernícolas, son enemigos muy fáciles de evadir así que por eso no hay problema.
Posteriormente, el segundo nivel que recuerdo es el de la playa, este nivel lo recuerdo muy bien porque fue el que más me gusto de niño, tal vez por su sountrack o por lo colorido que está, en si es una playa donde me gustaría pasar las vacaciones, aunque el objetivo sigue siendo el mismo, tenemos que encontrar las hadas, pero para eso tenemos que cumplir con ciertas misiones que nos dan la gente de la playa, los enemigos en este nivel son duendes que se visten de piratas algo bastante gracioso.
Para acabar con los niveles tenemos el tercer nivel al cual llamo el tablero de ajedrez, este mundo recuerdo que sólo lo visité una vez cuando jugaba el juego de pequeño y sobre este nivel tengo una anécdota bastante graciosa, este nivel se caracteriza por tener un estilo como juego de mesa, o al menos así lo recuerdo, donde los enemigos son más fuertes ya que son caballeros que nos tacarán con las lanzas, aparte de que un duende se viste de mujer y comienza a bailar jaja, sin duda el más difícil de los primeros tres niveles.
Lo que me pasó con este nivel de pequeño es que mientras estaba avanzando en el nivel, en una especie de plaza encontré algo que me hizo temblar, era como un hada riéndose de forma macabra en una de las esquinas de la pantalla, era un niño y eso me dio miedo no parecía algo que había visto antes en el juego, así que intente acércame, pero cuando me acerque esa cosa empezó a correr por todas las direcciones y esa risa macabra no ayudaba, me dio tanto miedo que terminé apagando la consola jaja.
Por último, quiero hablar de los controles de juego, Spyro tiene varios movimientos que nos servirán para completar el juego, este juego lo jugué con teclado, el botón “A” lo puse en la tecla “Z” lo que provoca que Spyro salte, la “B” la puse en la tecla “X” lo configuré para que Spyro suelte el juego en su hocico, “L” y “R” los configuré en las teclas “A” y “S” para que estuvieran cerca de mi mano, con la “A” Spyro empieza a correr como un toro para poder atacar con sus cachos, un movimiento útil para derrotar a los enemigos, en la tecla “S” en cambio es para que Spyro vuele, así puede pasar entre plataforma y plataforma para que no se caiga en los mundos que debemos pasar.

A Spyro game for the Game Boy, Spyro has many video games on this console, but there is one in specific that I managed to play on the classic Xbox emulator, I'm talking about Spyro Season of Ice a Spyro game for the Game Boy of the many that came out for this console, I'm not sure if this is the first of the saga on Game Boy, but if it was the one I played and has a more than an interesting story.

It a quite an interesting story that of course, I didn't understand as a child since I couldn't read English haha, since I was a kid this world of Spyro has seemed to be very colorful and charismatic, I have good memories of this game thanks to the worlds, I have to say that it is a game that I never managed to finish, I understand that Spyro Season of Ice has a total of 12 worlds to explore, well I think I got to the third one at the most haha because I didn't understand the game and my family didn't like it very much at that time to help me pass the game.
So I'll talk about the first three worlds of the game that are the ones I remember the most, to start we have the world of the fairies collapsed, this world does not count as it is the one that connects us with the other remaining worlds, let's say it would be like a selection screen in the game itself, to access the worlds we have to enter the portals that incidentally remind me a bit of Harry Poter, but that's another topic, to unlock the portals we have to fulfill the obligations of the site.
For example, Spyro must rescue three fairies that are frozen along the map, we must also get a certain amount of gems and with that we will unlock the first level that I call the volcano, a level where we will be surrounded by lava, if we jump into it we will die of course haha, in this world we have to rescue the frozen fairies, but we must also be careful with the enemies of this level which are goblins that act as cavemen, they are very easy to evade enemies so there is no problem.
Subsequently, the second level I remember is the beach, this level I remember very well because it was the one I liked most as a child, perhaps because of its soundtrack or how colorful it is, if it is a beach where I would like to spend the vacations, although the goal remains the same, we have to find the fairies, but for that we have to fulfill certain missions that give us the people of the beach, the enemies in this level are goblins who dress as pirates something quite funny.
To finish with the levels we have the third level which I call the chessboard, this world I remember that I only visited once when I played the game as a child, and about this level, I have a pretty funny anecdote, this level is characterized by having a board game style, or at least so I remember, where the enemies are stronger as they are knights who will tackle us with spears, apart from a goblin dresses as a woman and begins to dance haha, certainly the most difficult of the first three levels.
What happened to me with this level as a kid is that while I was advancing in the level, in a kind of square I found something that made me shiver, it was like a fairy laughing in a macabre way in one of the corners of the screen, it was a child and that scared me it didn't look like something I had seen before in the game, so I tried to get closer, but when I got closer that thing started running in all directions and that macabre laughter didn't help, it was so scary that I ended up turning off the console haha.
Lastly, I want to talk about the game controls, Spyro has several moves that will help us to complete the game, this game I played with a keyboard, the “A” button I put on the “Z” key causes Spyro to jump, the “B” I put it on the “X” key I set it for Spyro to release the game on his snout, “L” and ‘R’ I set them on the ‘A’ and ‘S’ keys to be near my hand, with the ‘A’ Spyro starts running like a bull to be able to attack with his horns, a useful move to defeat the enemies, on the ‘S’ key instead is for Spyro to fly, so he can pass between platform and platform so he doesn't fall in the worlds we must pass.

Recuerdo que jugué bastante el Spyro 2: Season of Flame que tenía mi hermano, el cual era la secuela de este juego - si era divertido explorar corriendo y volando aunque era fácil perderse con los niveles más grandes debido al poco espacio que te deja la cámara, así como habían algunos retos con otros personajes que se jugaban distinto.
Yo creo que de los Spyro de GBA, no he llegado a probar este del que hablas, ya que mi hermano tenía el Season of Flame mientras que mi otro hermano tenía el juego que salió después de ese [Attack of the Rhynocs], pero se ve que al menos se juega parecido como a las secuelas.
La verdad que había olvidado estos juegos a pesar de ese tiempo que pasé jugándolos directos de los cartuchos originales de mis hermanos, así que fue una sorpresa agradable leer esto 😄
Bueno, este que jugué de niño en la Xbox Clásica era divertido por la exploración, pero a mi se me complicaba mucho por los controles, aparte de no saber el idioma del juego jaja, Spyro es una franquicia que nunca he jugado como tal, así que si este ha ha sido el único juego que recuerdo que he jugado sobre el dragón, es un buen juego con una historia simple, aunque pienso que mientras más avances el juego deja de ser para niños por la dificultad de los niveles.
