Put on your armor, my sword awaits you. Perhaps that's what my opponent thought when setting up a super offensive team. But it turns out that sometimes, the shield is the factor that separates you from death or, in our case, from defeat. Is there anything better than hiding behind a shield? Yes! Hiding behind a shield and still attacking with great force. And that's what I did in today's battle: I used defense to my advantage, used supports as if that were my only choice, and added some precious monsters to fight offensively.
It's very interesting when you find a strategy that suits you well. Well, I've found a basic strategy that I use whenever I can, and I love using it whenever conditions allow. Nothing too elaborate, but having IZIAR drawing all the attacks towards himself, given his good health and magic defense, is very good defensively. Even better when he dies and adds more stats to adjacent monsters. Of course, support and offensive monsters are essential, but that's basically the strategy, and it can be used in various ways.
In today's battle, I faced a good opponent who focused on a sneak attack on my back line. The good part is that this strategy I used neutralizes that type of action. It's a strategy that relies heavily on defense and support, but doesn't sacrifice offensiveness. Its real strength lies in the progressive evolution of the monsters, because when IZIAR dies, he empowers the monsters next to him, and when I revive him, he does it again. So, we'll have stronger monsters in later rounds. Using Olivia is the same thing, since she mimics enemy abilities and you never know how good that can be. So, take a look at how this match went!

Today's rule is: We have no rules. This is good because it increases the options for use, and another good piece of news is that all elements are available and we still have 49 mana.
For the summoner selection, both of us chose a summoner that allows us to choose a monster from the Gladius set. My opponent made that choice, I didn't. His choice was excellent, actually, a monster that I'm particularly afraid of.
For the tank selection, two titans! My opponent is a true monster with excellent defense and even better attack! However, its speed is low. I chose a monster that I think is one of the most offensive in Splinterlands. He has a good amount of health, but his attack and abilities make him an extremely aggressive monster.
For the backline, you already know my plans, so you know I focused on support with two monsters that heal the backline and monsters with abilities that can bring progressive evolution to my team.
Well, the battle was interesting, and although I had enough shields and protection, my opponent was aggressive, and for a moment I thought he might break through my defensive line, but it didn't happen. And you know that if you let this strategy of mine work, victory is certain!

Olá Splinters, bem vindos de volta!
Vista sua armadura, que minha espada te espera. Talvez tenha sido isso que meu adversário pensou ao escalar um time super ofensivo. Mas acontece que, às vezes, o escudo é o fator que te separa da morte ou, no nosso caso, da derrota. Tem coisa melhor do que se esconder atrás de um escudo? Sim! Se esconder atrás de um escudo e ainda atacar com muita força. E foi isso que fiz na batalha de hoje: usei a defesa ao meu favor, utilizei suportes como se essa fosse a minha única escolha e adicionei alguns monstros preciosos para combater de forma ofensiva.
É muito interessante quando você encontra uma estratégia à qual se adapta bem. Pois é, eu encontrei uma base de estratégia que uso sempre que posso e adoro usá-la sempre que as condições permitem. Nada muito mirabolante, mas ter o IZIAR puxando todos os ataques para si sendo que ele possui uma boa quantidade de vida e defesa contra ataque mágico é muito bom defensivamente. Melhor ainda quando ele morre e adiciona mais status aos monstros adjacentes. Claro, não pode faltar suporte e monstros ofensivos, mas basicamente essa é a estratégia, e pode ser usada de várias formas.
Na batalha de hoje, eu enfrentei um bom adversário, que focou em um ataque furtivo na minha linha de trás. A parte boa é que essa estratégia que usei neutraliza esse tipo de ação. Bem, é uma estratégia que conta com muita defesa e suporte, mas não abre mão da ofensividade. Seu ponto forte mesmo é a evolução progressiva dos monstros, pois IZIAR morto potencializa os monstros ao lado, e quando eu o revivo, ele faz isso outra vez. Então, teremos monstros mais fortes em rodadas posteriores. Usando Olivia é a mesma coisa, já que ela imita habilidades inimigas e nunca se sabe o quão bom isso pode ser. Para a escolha do summoner, ambos escolhem um summoner que possibilita a escolha de um monstro da edição Gladius, meu adversário fez essa escolha, eu não. a escolha dele inclusive foi excelente, um monstro que eu particularmente tenho medo.
Para a escolha do tank, dois titans! Meu adversário um verdadeiro monstro que possui um defesa excelente e um ataque melhor ainda! porém sua velocidade e é baixa. Eu escolho um monstro que acho que é um dos mais ofensivos de Splinterlands. Ele possui boa quantidade de vida mas seu ataque e suas habilidades fazem dele um monstro extremamente agressivo.
Para a linha de trás você já sabe qual foi os meus planos, então já sabe que foquei aqui em suporte com dois monstros que curam a linha de trás e monstros com habilidades que podem trazer uma evolução progressiva para meu time.
Bem, a batalha foi interessante e apesar de eu estar com escudos e proteção o suficiente, meu adversário foi agressivo e por um momento eu imaginei que ele poderia romper minha linha defensiva, mas não aconteceu e você sabe que se deixar essa minha estratégia funcionar, a vitória é certa!
