Gaming on Hive

in Hive Gaming3 years ago

I have been playing games on Hive for awhile now and have had a lot of fun with them. Whilst they are still nowhere near the polished finish of mainstream gaming they are getting better all the time.

Splinterlands was the first and most successful of the hive games. It started before hive was even thought of, back in the days of Steem. One of the reasons Splinterlands is still around I feel is due to the constant updates and improvements to the game, The game whilst still at it's base is still the same it has changed a lot along the way. The other reason of coarse is it's unwavering support of it's users.
Whilst I have not taken the opportunity to sell my cards other then to buy other cards in the game. My collection is worth a lot more then I have spent on the game. Most recently they have launched the presale of lands and there are plans for a lot more updates to come. So be sure to keep an eye on Splinterlands.

DCity is a city builder game. Starting out as a discord game trading NFT's using SteemEngine it developed into a browser game and has just gone from strength to strength from there. In the beginning you had to buy cards for 4 steem but as cities got bigger people started trading NFT's to help their city run properly.
Once you have your city setup you can use the sim(the in-game token which can also be traded) you earn to buy new buildings. DCity has had many updates adding new content. You can use a technology tree to help your city and users are even able to run for president. DCity has definitely come a long way since its days on steem and it is great to have them here on Hive.

Rabona whilst being very new to Hive, has been well accepted. Rabona comes to us from the developers of the game Next Colony, a very successful game on Steem that closed down around the time of the splitting of the Steem community and the conception of Hive. Rabona is a Football Manager Game in which you manager a football club. Whilst you could just turn up once a week to manage the club. showing up daily definitely pays dividends. By managing you club daily you can maximize your teams training and through a line-up in to make sure the right players are playing. Wh9ilst Rabona is new the team are constantly updating the game and Rabona has already gotten new buildings and had a lot of updates improving the game.

Rising Star a music game in which you start your own band. Start out busking on the street this game has definitely caught the eye of music loves with it's great tunes playing in the background as you play. Start out busking on the street for a few coins on the street and rise to stardom. Recently Rising Star launched new cards. It is definitely a good time to check it out.

Crypto brew master is a game in which you start your own brewery, brewing of coarse your own beer. Whilst this game recently had some issues with people using google accounts to create multiple accounts and destabilize the game economy. The team have dealt with this and the game is getting back on track. They have even pushed updates in this time to help improve the game and user experience.

Exoide is a Space game in which you can buy cards that can be use to help you in the game. The cards range from ships to people to equipment. You then need to use these cards to run the ship. the game shows a lot of promise and I can not wait to see how this game develops over time.

HolyBread is an RPG which originally was on Steem. The former developers sold the game and the game is being redeveloped on Hive. The game has under gone many changes and is undergoing even more. I myself am just waiting to see what the new developers have instore for us. From what I have read the game will be changing a lot. Drop past and see what's new on Holybread.

Let me know what is your favorite game on Hive in the comments.

Thanks for the Beer.

Thanks for the shout out!

My pleasure. Holybread is a lot of fun to play.

I love how you've written the games on the Hive blockchain with a few history and concise definitions about them. I haven't played any other game on Hive other than Rabona Football Manager but I'm aware that Splinterlands and DCity are a game thriving on the Blockchain.

Rabona is going very well and has gotten people not on hive to start using it. The other games are all worth looking at. I hope this post has sparked your interest, as well as others, in them.
Thanks for your comment.

How do non-Hive players login into Rabona?
I need to check it out when i get time
