Opportunity ability monsters work differently from the sneak ability monsters. โ๏ธAnd the trick that I am gonna share works only against melee attack monsters, and you can trap them in the beginning.
When you trap those early monsters, then you can save those cards that support your first monster or others, such as tank heal, repair, strengthen, cleanse, inspire, demoralize, and weaken.๐
What I am saying is that if you want to avoid all these issues, then there is a simple method, and that is using one card. ๐Here I am not gonna share a difficult process for you that makes it much difficult for the new players.
I have simplified things for that reason, I am gonna share the card name directly instead of creating a strategy with the abilities.๐ So that card is Spellmonger, you can also see the photo below :
This card has 4 mana. With 1 armor, 1 health, and 1 speed, this card is not for the attack, but it has a great defense system that is the thorns ability. Armor adds additional benefit to this card. ๐ You have to add this unit to your team, and the best place is 3 or 4th.
This card has the lowest health, which means opportunity ability cards attack this first, and that is where the opponent's monster gets damage by two.๐ The opponent gets a total of 4 damage from this card, so the opportunity monster can fall easily.
This is the most interesting trick, especially in frontier mode, and you can win most battles using this simple strategy, but also add a void ability card at first๐ so that you can survive from the magic attack cards of the opponent.
Well, can you use other thorns ability monsters? The answer is yes, but there is a condition that the card should have low health, like 1 or 2, to catch opportunity melee attack units.๐ Because when you have more health then it is not possible to catch opportunity ability units at the beginning of the battle.
Whether the opponent has used 2 opportunity units, you can get rid of at least 1, and this is a lot. ๐After completing this task, your attack cards can easily target other cards, and this particular thing can increase the chances of winning.

Talking about thorns ability then you can also try this with battlew rules like melee myhem and super sneak.๐ Whart you can do just put thorns ability cards at last and first if possible if you have multiple thorns abilty cards.
There are many more strategies against every rule of battle. ๐for example if there is a rule in which, every monster get extra armors so you can do just one thing and that is using more magic attack units.
