Yeah, you read that title right. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in 2021, a childhood nostalgia for many of you I reckon. I played hundreds of hours, back when I was a teenager. When I was reminiscing of those days with a friend months ago, he recommended to me to play using Plutonium, a multiplayer client for Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops II, and World at War.
The past couple of days, I and @deathwing started to play it, and the first thing we realized was that we were old. A couple of games and we become tired, where in the past we could play for 7-8 hours a day without breaks. It was still fun though, we really had a lot of fun on moded Gun Game servers and of course Rust 7/24 servers. If you have that nostalgia itch and want to experience the old call of duty gunplay, this is one of the best ways to do that.
Having fun on a Gun Game server, it is called fed's Gun Game server if you decide to hop on.
So, what is good about Modern Warfare 3 in 2021. The old fast-paced Call of Duty gunplay. Low system requirements, even potato PCs of today should be able to run it. Enemy AC-130 above, I mean good voice acting and sounds. Faded but not horrendous graphics, and tons of nostalgia.
Nostalgia is a hell of a drug, but it can't hide the ugly side of Modern Warfare 3. While playing you can feel the horrendous net-code compared to modern titles, it is frustrating sometimes but you can still have fun. The weapon balance is the same as the good old days, which means MP7 is still OP and AA-12 shoots BB. Plutonium has an anti-cheat but that doesn't mean that there are no cheaters and they can impact your enjoyment of the game. Player population is around the 50 to 60 range, so you can find at least 2 to 3 servers filled with players.

We usually play on fed's Gun Game server as it offers the best gun game experience, so I can personally recommend it. Standard TDM servers are also cool, and 7/24 Rust is for you if you really love hectic gameplay.
I actually met @deathwing on a Modern Warfare 3 game, way back when it was popular but that is a story for another time.I hope these screenshots were enough for a trip down memory lane. I certainly had a lot of fun while playing. I might have gotten old, but I still have the skills to destroy them newbs. (As seen on the last screenshot.) Yea deathwing is a dinosaur. Is this the Xbox Cod where people everyone says that people now wouldn't' be able to stand a lobby of it? Only COD I like is black ops and black ops 2 and ghosts because of the gun game mode on them.
The problem is I am much more a dinosaur than him, and nope this is not the Xbox COD, PC COD and Xbox COD were pretty much different even back then in terms of players. Plutonium also offers BO2 MP and Zombies btw.
