I don't know how I could have missed this game for so many years

For a long time, my friends had been urging me to play Hollow Knight, and with all the hype surrounding Silksong, I finally decided to give the first game in the series a try. Honestly, from the very first moment, I was captivated by that dark world full of mysteries that invites you to explore nonstop. In addition, the little knight character is very special, a being designed in a simple way, but whose simplicity is precisely what makes him incredible when you start using him.

Desde hace tiempo mis amigos me insistían mucho para que jugara Hollow Knight, y con todo el hype que generó Silksong, finalmente decidí darle una oportunidad al primer juego de la saga. Sinceramente, desde el primer momento me atrapó con ese mundo oscuro lleno de misterios que te invita a explorar sin parar. Además, el personaje del caballerito es muy especial, un ser diseñado de forma sencilla, pero cuya simpleza es justamente lo que lo hace increíble al empezarlo a usar.

I really liked the gameplay, especially because the exploration is incredibly extensive and satisfying. As you progress, you unlock abilities that open doors to new areas and objects. The combat is quite precise and challenging. I found the bosses really difficult (not all of them, but the vast majority), and it had been a long time since I had felt so frustrated and angry playing something, but, curiously, the combinations of amulets that the game offers allow you to find different strategies to defeat them. I would say that it's almost a game of trial and error, although it definitely also depends a lot on your skill.

La jugabilidad me gustó mucho, especialmente porque la exploración es increíblemente extensa y satisfactoria. Conforme avanzas, desbloqueas habilidades que te abren puertas a nuevas áreas y objetos. El combate es bastante preciso y desafiante. Los jefes me parecieron realmente difíciles (no todos, pero la gran mayoría), hacía mucho que no sentía tanta frustración y enojo jugando algo, pero, curiosamente, las combinaciones de amuletos que te ofrece el juego te permiten encontrar distintas estrategias para vencerlos. Me gustaría decir que casi es un juego de prueba y error, aunque definitivamente, también depende mucho de la habilidad que tengas.

In terms of design, I loved the dark and mysterious atmosphere, and the characters and enemies are very well done. The music is undoubtedly another strong point. It's so good that I now listen to it while studying or working (there are several playlists on YouTube Music; I found the official one on Steam). It's truly one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard in a video game.

En cuanto al diseño, me encantó la atmósfera oscura y misteriosa, además de que los personajes y enemigos están muy bien logrados. La música, sin duda, es otro de los puntos fuertes, es tan buena que ya la escucho para estudiar o trabajar (en YouTube Music hay varias listas, la oficial la encontré en Steam), de verdad es uno de los mejores soundtracks que he escuchado en videojuegos.

I completed 97% of the game, but I was missing two essential amulets to get other endings. I'm already on my way to getting them, although I have to meet some prerequisites first. I know the game is 112% complete, and although I still have a lot to do, including some very difficult challenges, I'll gradually make progress. I hope that in the future I'll be able to share with you that I finished it at 112%, although I also want to give other games a chance. I don't know what will happen.

Pasé el juego al 97%, pero me faltaron dos amuletos esenciales para obtener otros finales, ya estoy en el camino para conseguirlos, aunque debo cumplir con algunos requisitos previos. Sé que el juego tiene un 112% de completado, y aunque aún me quedan muchas cosas por hacer, incluyendo algunos retos muy complicados, poco a poco iré avanzando. Espero en un futuro poder compartirles que lo terminé al 112%, aunque también quiero darle oportunidad a otros juegos. No sé qué vaya a pasar.

It took me about 36 hours to reach the battle with the “final” boss, Hollow Knight, and now my goal is to find those remaining charms to discover the other endings and challenge the one I've seen who is indeed the true final boss. It is, without a doubt, one of the best games I've ever played, and although at times the difficulty and frustration were intense, the satisfaction of advancing and discovering everything it has to offer is enormous.

Me tomó alrededor de 36 horas llegar a la batalla con el jefe "final", Hollow Knight, y ahora mi objetivo es buscar esos amuletos restantes para descubrir los demás finales y retar al que he visto que sí es el verdadero jefe final. Es, sin duda, uno de los mejores juegos que he jugado, y aunque en ocasiones la dificultad y frustración fueron intensas, la satisfacción de avanzar y descubrir todo lo que ofrece es enorme.

In short, Hollow Knight is a gem, highly recommended for those who enjoy challenging games and a world full of secrets. If you can handle frustration, go for it. If you can't, I think it's a good time to put it to the test.

En resumen, Hollow Knight es una joya, altamente recomendable para quienes disfrutan de juegos desafiantes y un mundo lleno de secretos. Si tienen manejo de la frustración, adelante. Si no la tienen, creo que es un buen momento de ponerla a prueba.
