Yes, just one hour, I still love the original on the ps1. It was a lot of hype for the remake, someday I will play it to the end. Then I really can answer that questions. Do you like the remake more than the original?

Not really. The remake is full of so much filler. There's a quest in the early portion of hte game where you are literally herding cats. It feels like a joke. There are elements of the remake that are really astounding (and it really all comes together if you watch Advent Children before playing FF7: Remake) --- but there's so many parts that are drawn out using sleazy game development tactics to make the game "last" the 30-40 hours advertised - and that's not just grinding - forcing your character to stroll leisurely through an area, or doubling back over already explored terrain, etc.
It is good, it is just lazy in many elements.
