I can barely remember playing Donkey Kong when I was little. I don't remember much about it. This version looks fun though.

The Donkey Kong Country series was not one I sunk a lot of time into. I was more a Super Mario fan at this point and the graphics of DKC were actually sensory overload to me, still are for the most part.
