If we want to talk about FFVII it is necessary to say that its first release for the PSone was a game ahead of its time.
Not because of the graphic quality since in those days the technology was not as advanced as it is today, but because of the game's story, it was too deep for us to appreciate it in its entirety.
A game that was so successful that it was considered the best game of the Final Fantasy saga and was made into a movie.
It is difficult not to remember those moments of tension when a counter appeared with a countdown and we had to run away with our character to escape the explosion.
My first impression when playing the remake for Playstation 4 was to be speechless due to the great amount of detail in terms of graphic quality. To be able to see Cloud with the details of his clothes, his expressions, to see him even speak was something that filled me with nostalgia and emotion.
It took me back to those years when as a kid I would leave school to turn on my PSone and play until it was time to go to bed.
The game mechanics change a lot, since you have more freedom to move around. It is also necessary to highlight a very important change and it is the combat.
It is no longer turn-based combat as in the original game, now it allows you to attack whenever you want and you can move, dodging enemy attacks and hiding anywhere that allows you to do so, this is a plus and I thank the developers for having done that.
Something that made me a fan of this game is the amount of antagonists it has and of course the one who is considered the best villain of the saga and perhaps considered by some as the best villain of video games.
Sephiroth, a villain with a story, with a past, with a background that simply traps you and at times you do not know which side to be on, whether to support him or defeat him for being the purpose of the game.
Seeing how his character was redesigned to make him more fearsome and that he could transmit all that he is filled me with an incredible emotion. To know that my favorite childhood game was not ruined with its remake as it has happened with other videogames.
In conclusion, the game is a gem both graphically and in gameplay. I enjoyed every second of this new installment and went back to those years as a child where I was surprised with every attack or magical ability of the characters.
Without a doubt I recommend that if you can play it, do it, you will not regret it.
If I had to give it a score it would be 10/10 ultra diamond. There is nothing I disliked about this remake, just faithful to its predecessor and all the changes have been for the better.
So much for my personal opinion about this amazing game.
