After fighting against all odds, I finally managed to complete the Genetix Apex set in Pokémon TCGP, the set that originally launched the game, characterized by its Mewtwo, Charizard, and Pikachu protagonists.
It wasn't an easy task and required many trades, magical choices, and a bit of luck to complete the quest. This, by the way, helped me obtain a secret immersive version of Mew (yes, the one that requires completing the Singing Pokedex) and a couple of avatars that I plan to use from now on.
Although I admit that I'm slowly getting a little more into the game and dedicating more hours to the battle mode (crucial if we want to collect enough clocks to open more packs), I'm a little shocked by the speed at which new sets are being released.
Triumphant Light isn't even a month old, and we already have the date for the next expansion, which will focus primarily on shiny Pokémon (special Pokémon with alternate colors) and will be released on March 27th.
While it's great to have a steady stream of cards, at least in my case, I've only managed to complete two of the four collections that have been released. And while I'm pretty close to completing the other two (I only have two cards left from Triumphant Light and Space Time Smackdown, respectively), I feel like the window between releases isn't long enough to fully enjoy the achievements I've earned.
Still, I'm a little excited about the future of this great game, especially if this next update is used to further refine the trading system, making it no longer necessary to use third-party apps like PokeTrade to complete the various sets.
However, credit where credit is due, I like that it's been a challenging mission, and I feel like I've been able to make quite a bit of progress without having to pay real money. I hope things continue to be this way in the medium and long term.
Do I still recommend Pokémon TCGP? Of course, I do, especially if you have friends and acquaintances to trade and compare card collections with.

I'm still missing a couple of cards from the first set. Regular Exeggutor is the only one I don't have any copy of any version from this set. There are a few I also don't have, like Snorlax and Greninja, but I have the full art Snorlax and the promo Greninja. And there are a few others I only have one copy of. And I don't have all of the rarer versions as well. I actually have 0 three stars and crown cards, despite playing from the start. I haven't been opening cards from this set, since there are others I need more from the new sets.
I need that Snorlax for a mission hahaha.
I'm focusing only In the basic collection, although I have a couple of special cards.
I still have many cards to get. Should focus on trades now. I don't think it will be possible without trading. By the way, what are your trading strategies? Can you make a post on it? How long it took you for these trades?
Congrats! That's a nice achievement.
Hey! That post idea it's actually good, maybe I'll write something about the PokeTrade app, that was my main tool to complete the set 🤔
Great, congratulations!! I‘am still missing some cards especially 3 Star Cards.
Good look. Now I'm waiting for the next set hahaha
Yo lo sigo jugando, aunque solo para acumular cartas, por mera colección, no me interesan muchon las batallas
