Mann at first I thought these pictures were taken in real life, but then I saw the GT logo below haha. I thought this was your car, which you got wrapped up in some vinyl wrap lol. It's crazy how good some of these newer racing games look, especially Gran Turismo and Forza; sadly, I haven't played any of the recent releases.
I quite am hyped for the new NFS Unbound though, it's going to be released in December 2nd.
Have you seen the trailer? A lot of Underground vibes in it. The music is solid, reminds me of Underground, Most Wanted and NFS 2015 even. After MW 2, NFS Unbound looks like another worthy purchase for this year.
Racing games always bring in a huge tsunami of nostalgia, because I started my gaming journey with racing games. NFS 2 was the most addictive game I had played back then, you could spend hours on that thing and race someone else on split screen haha.
I then shifted to story related games, and now I'm grinding the FPS genre. So, it's surely been a while since I've last played a racing game properly, so NFS Unbound can surely be the chosen one, getting a lot of positive vibes already.
It really is so crazy how realistic GT7 is. A wrap like this would cost thousands of dollars in real-life, but totally possible if you have the funds for that.
I actually just finished my post for NFS Unbound which will be dropping tomorrow morning at my regular time. I'm also extremely excited for that game and I absolutely love the look of it. Plus, A$AP Rocky! OMG, one of the few rappers I liked enough to see in concert. Can't wait for the soundtrack. I think the fact that it has UNbound in the name correlates a lot to the name UNderground. The UN doesn't seem to be by accident. Good to know both of us have been playing NFS games for 20+ years. They keep getting better.
The next 3 games I'm getting are MWII, GoW Ragnarok, and NFS Unbound. I'm also really curious about Evil West, because cowboys/vampires and Gears of War vibes are totally my thing.
The soundtrack surely is killer, and I absolutely love the art and animation, A$AP Rocky is a great fit too. Like why wouldn't you love it? What's not to like? It's an "arcadey" racing game, always was.
But I surely have seen some people complaining, saying that this style is childish and i's made for kids, saying that the trailer looks more like a game made for phones/mobiles lol. I really don't know what part of the trailer gives off that idea haha. On top of that, this is just a teaser trailer, it's not even a trailer of the gameplay, nor is it any gameplay footage, so how can you just share your very much "solidified" thoughts just from watching a trailer? People surely don't waste much time when jumping to conclusions, which is actually quite sad. But me and the boys surely are hyped for this one, looks quite promising just from this trailer, like you mentioned, there surely is a "hint" of Underground in it.
A ton of improvement yes, but the story hasn't been that exciting after Most Wanted, most of it being about revenge, this and that yadayadayada. Same old stuff we've been seeing in terms of the story and gameplay too. NFS 2015 had the OG Underground vibe, but it was a bit cringey I'd say haha.
Hopefully they'll get it right with this one.
Sign me up for that too, but I'll also have to add the previous GoW to the list, haven't played that one yet lol.
People will hate on literally anything. They’ve said it’ll run at 4K/60, it ain’t not mobile game that’s for sure. I never really care about the story in NFS, the one with Ken Block was the most cringe, although I loved that reboot so much.
You MUST play God of War ASAP. It’s free if you have a PS5. Otherwise you can find it for under $20 easily.
Yep, that's NFS 2015, quite a cringey few characters in there lol.
It's on my list, just looking for a chance to get it.
As cringe as it was, it definitely had some of the best drifting of any racing game ever. So Ken Block was a good choice for that one, just oddly executed story-wise.
Everything else was fine, especially the drifting was just too smooth, loved climbing up and down every hill track. Just the cut scenes were cringey AF, the only flaw in there I'd say. 😂
