Hey, Splinterlands warriors! đ„
Howâs everyone doing? Hope youâre still keeping that grinding spirit alive, even though the crypto marketâs been all over the place lately. Feels like a roller coaster sometimes, doesnât it? SPS goes up a bit, then drops againâbut we keep playing for one reason: the thrill of battle and our awesome community!
So, in this post, I want to share a bit about my personal experience in the latest Brawl with the ClaNFT guild.
If youâre new to it, Brawl is the guild-vs-guild battle mode in Splinterlands. Each member fights in their own fray to earn victory points for the guild. Besides being a test of strategy, Brawls are also a main source of Merits, which you can use to buy Gladius Packsâthe only way to get exclusive Gladiator cards that canât be rented or sold.

And⊠this weekâs Brawl was quite a mix of emotions for me. On one hand, our guild managed to finish in second place, but on the other hand, my personal performance was a bit frustrating. Out of 4 battles, I only managed to win 1, while the other 3 ended in defeat. Luckily, a few opponents didnât complete their battles, so I still earned a total of 18 points, bringing home 2,300 Merits and 42.05 SPS. Not badâenough to keep the motivation going even if the results werenât perfect.

As usual, once I had enough Merits, I immediately went hunting for Gladius Packs.

This time I got to open three packs, and honestly, the results were a roller coaster too. At first, there were no epic or legendary cardsâkind of disappointingâbut in the end, two gold foil cards showed up and totally lifted my mood! đ
If youâre curious, hereâs the link to the pack opening:

After that, I upgraded a few of my Gladius cards. Even though my collection is still far from complete, Iâm happy to see progressâmy rare cards are now at 33% of the full set. Slowly but surely, the collection is growing!
But honestly, the best part of joining Brawls isnât just about the rewards or the packs. What really makes it special is the sense of camaraderie within the guild. Sometimes members give advice about team composition, share tactics for specific rulesets, or simply cheer each other on when the results donât go our way. For new players, joining a guild and participating in Brawls is seriously the best way to learn fastâbecause youâre not just playing alone, youâre growing with a supportive community.
If I had to sum up the biggest lesson from this Brawl, it would be: never get too confident with your go-to lineup. An opponent who looks weak might have a hidden strategy that turns the tables. And most importantly, always learn from your lossesâevery Brawl comes with new surprises.
So, for those of you just getting into Splinterlands, my advice is: join an active guild and take part in Brawls. Youâll gain experience, make friends, and have a shot at getting those awesome Gladius cards to strengthen your collection.
See you in the next Brawlâand may we all finish the next battle with a sweeter victory! âïžđ„
