I actually bought this one on sale about a week ago for my Steamdeck just for nostalia reasons. Such good memories this one playing it as a kid and one of the times the a video game blew me away. Once I finish beating all decks in balatro at gold level, I will fully dig into Duke Nukem 3D as it really does hold up after 30 years.

Aside from the space part, Duke has aged quite well. At least that's how I felt about it a few years ago after playing for a few hours.
Balatro is supposedly a brilliant card game, but I'm not a fan of the genre, so I never tried it.
Balatro needs to be your thing (even though I'm thinking how can it not be). It's one of those games that if your are into them, it really hooks you like crazy. In a way I'm also going to be glad to move on from it. Just 1 more gold level to clear and I'm there.
Okay, after your description, I definitely won't play this game. I'm too susceptible to addiction :D.
