Haste Broken Worlds demo - Running Is Our Only Goal In This World [ENG/ESP]

Strolling through Steam several days ago I came across this demo. Although this kind of games are not my style, when I saw the trailer I felt quite attracted because, somehow, the game gave me a feeling of satisfaction just by watching it. So, taking advantage of the fact that the demo is free, I decided to try it.
1.jpg
Apparently this world is falling apart. We will be a girl who does not know how she got to this place, but if we want to find out what is happening, we can not let the destruction of the world reach us, so we must run to survive.
2.jpg
The concept of Haste is simple; Run, run and don't look back. With the destruction of the world behind us, we must run as fast as possible, avoiding collisions with any obstacle and always trying to maintain a constant speed, because if we take too long, the destruction will catch up with us and kill us.
3.gif
We will move through areas with different types of slopes, where we can make big jumps to shorten paths, although we must evaluate whether it is worth doing this or perhaps it would be better to dive to gain more speed. The game has a mechanic in which, if we plummet perfectly on a hill, we will gain an extra speed boost, plus it will also increase our score for the end of the level.
4.jpg
Making perfect falls will also help us to recharge our skill bar. This bar will allow us to take out a surfboard which will increase our speed through the stage. If we use this skill correctly we will be able to improve our times a lot, besides we will look quite spectacular.
5.gif
As we progress, we will see that the levels become more complicated. At first we will only have to avoid simple obstacles such as rocks or trees, but in the more advanced levels we will see more complex obstacles such as pieces of metal falling from the sky or strange cannons that shoot lightning.
6.jpg
We will complete an area when we reach the end of the stage where there will be a portal. Whenever we finish a zone we will go to a small map where we will choose the next zone. We will be able to see that we will have several types; normal, challenges, store and rest.
7.png
The normal zones are the ones we have seen so far. The store zones will allow us to spend the stars we have collected on passive upgrades, such as increasing our speed for a few seconds every time we collect stars or an active one that will allow us to slow down time. On the other hand, the rest areas will help us to recover some life. In total we will have 3 hearts and we will lose a portion of life every time we hit an obstacle or fall into a hole.
8.jpg
The challenge zones are quite interesting. In one of them we will start in the center of a map full of lava and, unlike normal areas where we always run forward, here we must find the exit, which can be anywhere on the map. We will be given a time limit to do so, when the time is up we will have failed, although we can also fail if we lose all our lives.
9.jpg
At the end of the map will be the area of the final boss, which by the way ended up being a little more complex than I expected. The mechanics will remain the same, we will have to run all over the stage, but with the difference that the boss will be shooting different projectiles at us, which will not only hurt us, but will also affect the areas where we can run, in this case filling them with lava.
10.jpg
To defeat the boss we must reach the other side of the stage and crash into him. Every time we crash we will reduce a portion of his life, at that moment the boss will jump to the other side of the map and we will repeat the dynamic. As we go reducing his life will become more complicated, making the scenario change more violently and complicating the ability to run. The demo will end when we defeat the boss.
11.jpg
Honestly the game is very good, I'm not surprised it has 'extremely positive' on Steam, the feeling of running through each area is quite satisfying, especially if you put in the time and master the mechanics. I'm a newbie, but I'm sure some expert will be able to do some real barbarities. I highly recommend trying the demo.

Hey it looks super cool really, its visual style I love it has a mix of comic, anime and even Splatoon hahahaha. I like the concept of the game, go running like crazy while the world falls, it does not seem to have an explanation why the world is destroyed but it's okay.

I like how dynamic it looks to run through the levels, I imagine this in VR and wooow would be the best, by the way how funny that the way to defeat the boss is literally making a tackle against him haha, I'll try it and wait for the full version to see how it is.

Those movement mechanics look smooth. They even have the same theme when killing bosses? Nice, lol.

Totally. I don't usually like these kinds of games where you just run or move forward in a straight line, but this one feels so smooth that it's a joy to play

It looks fun, but unfortunately fast-paced games like this tend to make me a bit dizzy.

It's an interesting dynamic. It reminded me of Pepsi Man on PS1, with the added bonus of the world falling apart. It also has a bit of Sonic in it; it's a mix of several things. I don't know if it's the kind of game I'd buy to complete, but all in all, it looks like a very entertaining demo to enjoy.

I think this game is great, especially the animation of this game is very beautiful. I will try to play the game.

Woah! Never knew they had that game it reminds me of subway surfers but way more cooler. Thank for posting this make me wanna play the game when I read your blog.❤️

Good review. We get a solid description of what the game is like. I enjoy your writing style.

This game looks super cool bro. Full dynamic despite being linear, it will be very interesting to see how it will be its final development. I will go through the Steam store to give it a good review, as well as you this kind of games are not my forte, but it looks very entertaining and deserves a chance.

Sometimes games like this come with a unique satisfaction that keeps you playing probably because of its simple interface design and gameplay that is easy to understand. It's like when I was playing Dragon Ball Z for the first time, it was adventurous with a storyline and fun to master.
