[Game Review]Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure

in Hive Gaming4 years ago

With a brand that has been with us for almost two decades, does the new Ice Age game, Scrat's Nutty Adventure, succeed in bringing the brand back to prominence or is it a mediocre game that is riding the brand's wave of success?

Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure

The 'Ice Age' brand has been with us for over 15 years. The first film was released in 2002 and is now considered a modern classic. Over the years the brand has grown with 4 more films and also a few games.
When I heard that a new Ice Age game, "Ice Age: Scrat's Nutty Adventure" was coming out, and as someone who is one of his favorite brands, I was pretty excited, but I also had quite a few concerns.

After all, the last game of the Ice Age brand I ever played in was in 2009 when it came to Ice Age 2 for the Wii console. In the game we played as Scrat, the prehistoric squirrel with his prized acorn.

The Story of the game -

As mentioned, the game puts us in the shoes of Scrat, the favorite squirrel who is obsessed with his acorn, only this time there is a little twist in the plot. The acorn is now a crystal acorn! And there are four of them! Scrat must find all four crystal glands and unite them together and that's it. If this plot sounds sparse to you, it's because it is. The plot is so basic and devoid of purpose that even throughout the game I tried to understand why this squirrel kept chasing acorns from Crystal and didn't get an answer. It's a shame to find that the plot barely exists, especially when in the previous games in the brand we played the movie plot.
