RE: World of Warcraft - The Addiction

in Hive Gaminglast month

At least you made it out for long enough to write the post.

Yes, I made myself do it this morning.., if only to get a break into reality.

"We'll pay for your WoW sub". I declined. I had work to do.

Haha.., that made me laugh, what were they thinking? Trying to find a reason to ditch your services?

along came a friend and Guild Wars, and that's where I probably lost a few thousand hours of my life.

I did try it long ago, I found WOW and Everquest more encompassing. The latter did take over my life for a few years. Tried FF Online too, the old one. They are all OK, but some are more OK than others.

Sort:

Once bitten, thrice shy from my perspective when it comes to MMOs, I much prefer atmospheric immersion sims, old school rpgs with great stories, and rts, these days - the sort of stuff that isn't really made all that much anymore.

I am very slowly (I started 8?) years ago - playing through my Steam library alphabetically. I am somehow still only up to A or C - because I keep adding new games. I need to stop doing that.

Bloodlines 2 is coming, but I fear that will be a disappointment, I look forward to editoriliasing the previews of that in the coming days
