Vagrant Story
Very few people know about this great game. I will never know what makes a game unforgettable, but this game was for me. My parents always told me about the tooth fairy, a being that rewarded children who molted their baby teeth, it may sound completely stupid, but I loved waiting for the tooth fairy every night. Whenever I left my tooth under my pillow, I would get PS1 games, back then it was the best thing ever. Vagrant Story is one of those games that the famous tooth fairy brought me. For a little girl, this game presented a lot of difficulty, I remember playing it and enjoying it, but not finishing it.
Muy pocas personas conocen acerca de este gran juego. Jamás sabré qué es lo que hace a un juego inolvidable, pero este juego para mi lo fue. Mis padres siempre me hablaron del ratón Pérez, un ser que premiaba a los niños que mudaban sus dientes de leche, puede parecer una completa estupidez, pero adoraba esperar al ratón Pérez cada noche. Siempre que dejaba mi diente bajo la almohada, recibía juegos de PS1, en ese entonces era lo mejor de todo. Vagrant Story es uno de esos juegos que el famoso ratón Pérez me trajo. Para una pequeña niña, este juego presentaba mucha dificultad, recuerdo haberlo jugado y disfrutado, pero no haberlo terminado.
This time, this game is not about vampires, but it does have that mysterious touch that Castlevania has and, well, Final Fantasy has as well. We will control Ashley Riot, a beautiful man, who is a soldier. Riskbreaker, risk breaker, is how this soldier is known, it's a name that makes sense, since he is a character that takes a lot of risks and comes out alive. Our precious character is involved in many problems and misunderstandings by the parliament where he is a soldier. In this story we will see a lot of black magic, occultism, unknown mysteries of a city that grants powers and much more. I would like to give you more details, but it is something you must know for yourself.
Esta vez, este juego no trata sobre vampiros, pero si tiene ese toque misterioso que los Castlevania tienen y bueno, los final fantasy también. Controlaremos a Ashley Riot, un hermoso hombre, quien es un soldado. Riskbreaker, rompedor de riesgos, es como se conoce a este soldado, es un nombre que tiene sentido, ya que es un personaje que se arriesga bastante y sale con vida. Nuestro precioso personaje se ve involucrado en muchos problemas y malos entendidos por parte del parlamento en donde es soldado. En esta historia veremos mucha magia negra, ocultismo, misterios desconocidos de una ciudad que otorga poderes y mucho más. Quisiera darle más detalles, pero es algo que debes de conocer por ti mismo.
This game is an Rpg, a game where we can improve our stats as we advance and defeat enemies. The difficulty of this game for a person who is not dedicated to video games, probably can be categorized as "Difficult". I mentioned it before, but for me, being a little girl, it was impossible. It is surprising how extensive this game can be, it contains a lot of content, lots of equipment, options, spells and action. In combat we can choose which enemy to attack and where to attack to do more damage, plus while attacking, we have the ability to deliver combos to generate greater damage. In order to achieve this, you must be skillful with the controls and be quick with your hands. Beyond the difficulty that this game carries, it is a game that is very enjoyable if you are a lover of games of this style, as I am. Something I haven't said is that I played this game again two years ago, I couldn't finish it either due to lack of time, but I was able to advance much more than before. Believe me, this game will make you experience nostalgia and you will enjoy it.
Este juego es un Rpg, un juego en donde podremos mejorar nuestros stats a medida que avanzamos y derrotamos enemigos. La dificultad de este juego para una persona que no es muy ducha en los video juegos, probablemente se pueda catalogar como "Difícil". Ya lo mencioné antes, pero para mi, siendo una niña pequeña, era imposible. Es sorprendente lo extenso que este juego puede llegar a ser, contiene mucho contenido, muchos equipamientos, opciones, hechizos y acción. En los combates podremos elegir a que enemigo atacar y en donde atacar para hacer más daño, además de que mientras atacamos, tenemos la posibilidad de asestar combos para generar un daño mayor. Para poder lograrlo, debes de ser hábil con los controles y ser rápido con las manos. Más allá de la dificultad que este juego acarrea, es un juego que se disfruta mucho si eres amante de los juegos de este estilo, así como yo. Algo que no he dicho es que este juego lo volví a jugar hace dos años, tampoco pude terminarlo por falta de tiempo, pero si pude avanzar mucho más que antes. Créeme, este juego te hará experimentar nostalgia y los disfrutarás.
Vagrant Story is a game released in 2000, and it looks gorgeous. Pixels and more pixels, but for those times so far back, this game was a complete gem. If we compare it with some Final Fantasy, you could say that they are very similar, they are developed by the same company, Square Enix, so that's why the resemblance. If you found this game attractive, or at least you liked it, I would recommend you to prepare your favorite snacks, turn off the lights, relax and enjoy. Vagrant Story es un juego lanzado en el año 2000, y se ve magnífico. Píxeles y más píxeles, pero para aquellos tiempos tan atrás, este juego era una completa joya. Si lo comparamos con algún Final Fantasy, se podría decir que son muy parecidos, son desarrollados por la misma compañía, Square Enix, así que por eso es el parecido. Si este juego te pareció atractivo, o al menos te gustó, te recomendaría que prepares las botanas que más te gusten, apagues las luces, te relajes y disfrutes. Te digo desde ahora, no esperes gráficos de última generación, espera recordar el pasado, a tu niño interior. Sin más, un besito y chau chau! 😘
