Hey guys, it's Dizzybee. I'm new to the blockchain and have always been a gamer my whole life. Not professional but casual. I started off with World of Warcraft when I was like 6 years old , developing my love for games from there.
Today i play a few Blizzard games, including Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, Warcraft 3, and sometimes WoW. Since becoming active on Steemit last month and then discovering Hive, i've been exploring games on blockchains, and so far have discovered Splinterlands and Gods Unchained to be quite entertaining and refreshing. I want to about my experience on those soon so stay tuned for future posts!
In any case, hearthstone has released a new ranked system! Not only this, but there is a new class on the way: Illidan the Demon Hunter! For those of us familiar with World of Warcraft lore, Illidan the betrayer was the big bad boss at the end of the Black Temple raid in the Burning Crusade expansion. He is the brother of the famous druid Malfurion Stormrage, and has has a bad relationship with the warden Maiv Shadowsong, who seeks to hunt him down forever.
Illidan is the original demon hunter to hit map on Hearthstone, and i am sure many people are excited to try him out! With the addition 4 damage board clear and a +1 hero power attack complemented by various weapon oriented cards, demon hunters stand to be a balanced meta breaking class. Everybody who completed the prologue gets a free deck! So don't forget to finish it, it's super easy and you get free legendaries when the release hits next week ;)
Having been in the range of between rank 5 and 10 consistently for the previous seasons, in the new ranked system EVERYONE has to start from scratch; bronze rank. However, people who were previously at advanced ranks get a significant star boost for each win. Starting at 5 bonus ranks and decreasing to 4 and then 3 the more you rank up. It goes down from rank 10 to 1 and then on to the next ladder in this order: bronze, silver, gold, platinum, diamond, and finally LEGEND . I have only managed to reach legend once a couple of expansions ago, but i'm gonna try again now with this new system, apparently it's a bit easier to rank up.
I look forward to playing the demon hunter class when it comes out! Gonna be climbing the ladders all the way to diamond until then!

I dropped Hearthstone two months ago (been playing since 2014) and started MTG Arena. I did not know they were going to do these changes, I only saw the ad for the new expansion on the Battle.net app and I thought they were just going to release new cards.
It's a pity it happened now that I'm really into Magic!

Yeah i also have a on and off relationship with Hearthstone. Usually when there is a nice expansion i come back to try it out. This one seems promising! As i am a free to play gamer i love it when they give free decks to start on a fair footing. Funny enough, i've never tried Magic the gathering, i think i'll give it a try thanks for the idea!
