Dangers lurk these passages but are they really that bad
After leaving the small town and killing a couple of bandits just nearby, we find Octharg The Destroyer a little further along, inside a cave that turns out to be a dungeon. Normally these nearby dungeons aren't filled with too much loot as they are nearer to a more traveled road, none the less though, it was worth checking out when you have little, for people starting again to reclaim their glory like Octharg is having to do.
But hidden around corners and in the shadows are creatures, most likely weak things but they will be there and have to be killed.
Some of the creatures were coming out to fight our villain, to try chomp on his living flesh and kill him off for consumption but it would be short lived lives they would have. The rat got a shocking feeling throughout when zapped by lightning, turning it into crisp rat, as the power of lightning was effective against them. Meanwhile a spider got toasted, becoming a roasted spider which would be considered a delicacy in some cultures. Fire is always strong against spiders and they lose health quickly.
"Oh how I love to murder these weak creatures to gain some extra experience. What a feeling, watching them get destroyed and watching my power constantly grow in hatred and the feeling of the revenge I will be getting one of these days" he said with a smirk on his face.
"Huzzah, success!" Octharg shouted with happiness as he started picking up the coins.
The previous occupant of this place that had been mentioned, Wilaina, worked to make some supplies from what she found around the dungeon. This was the main area and all these potions and money was left out before she vanished in another area, most likely dead from too many creatures.
"Well I doubt she will need this anymore so I may as well put it to good use, but if I one day was to run into her while she is alive, I am going to pay back what I took to thank her for what is going to help me out a lot.
He was second guessing himself after thinking of returning the favour because it is a part of adventuring after all, people shouldn't be leaving things lying about for others to take, if they didn't want it taken.
Once Octharg had enough of this place and had gotten some loot and kills, it was time to head on out to the outside world again. A nice ride down the rushing water stream leading back to the entrance was a fun ride.
What was not fun though, heading outside and not long after being attacked by a cave troll, a creature weak to fire but that can regenerate health and was strong. It caught him by surprise with a few hits to damage the health and force potions use, but then our villain did some back-stepping while burning the creature, wearing it down until it was finally engulfed and burned alive, letting Octharg live for another day with no issues.
As we find Octharg running along the land and searching for a place to rest for the night, in the distance he spots a young brown bear and knows they can be dangerous. Pulling back on the bow string, an arrow gets launched before sending another to damage the bear and draw its attention to him.
Once a health potion was taken, it had to be lured back some more and drawn in close, right in range of the dual-wielding flames that would unleash a constant, stream of burning death to keep weakening the bear, slowly bringing its health down to zero before it reached Octharg and did more damage once again.
"Now I have killed this bear I think I will rest right here, in this relaxing spot by the river. I will go in and setup some alarms nearby so I am awoken by any possible intruders or hostile creatures. Hopefully a nice sleep will help me explore the upcoming locations and prepare for potentially tough fights, or so I have heard" Octharg claimed while moving back to the campsite.
