Hi Everyone,

Japan has a huge following in gaming from esports to arcade games and every time we are in Japan, we will be at an arcade for sure on most days. They have all the up-to-date games with the latest technology and new games would be released if old machines were not successful. One of them which has lasted for many years is the Pokemon Mezastar. If you have noticed, this is the exact game my kids started playing last year and they are just playing the new edition this year.

Realistically, they can't be playing back home as we don't have the machines in our boring arcades so they usually can't collect all the rare tags for each season. This is when they go hunting for the ones they like at these reseller stores in Japan. We normally find these are large shopping centres in the suburbs with lots of families, a place where kids can sell their double tags and allow others to buy them from them.

This time, our kids found some tags they missed from the previous season and had been looking for since we arrived. We asked the kids to think carefully about what they wanted all in one go and we asked someone to help us get them from the locked cupboard. These tags can range from 200 yen to thousands if they are popular. We also tried our luck with the lucky draw held by the store at 500 yen a go. Prizes range from a full box of Pokemon cards to a blind bag which contains either some Pokemon cards or some other anime cards (you get to choose which box to choose from). Our kids got the blind bag which also included some sweets.

Overall it was a great day as the kids found something they wanted. Mind you, they still have a few on their list to find so we will continue hunting. BB E spent 1400 yen on his tag and BB M spent 400 yen. I have suggested the kids think about tags they may not want and sell them back to these stores to get a bit of money if they have any doubles. Let's see if they will be able to part with their precious hard-earned gaming tags.

I hope they can get the rest! Maybe the games will be available for computer one day :) ...

These are so nice! I only collected trading cards when I was younger but you can neer say no to anything Pokemon related :)
