I have never played an Atari console. The NES was the first (and so far oldest) game system I have tried. This is a neat update, though, so I may give it a go. There are a lot of emulator companies making controllers and even consoles for old game cartridges, so I hope this sets a precedent for quality first-party retro products to re-emerge.
Coleco, another company from back then, is working on new product in their line of gaming consoles. Currently they are focusing on reviving the mini/tabletop arcade units (they have worked with companies to re-release the ColecoVision in a similar style to the Atari 2600+ in the past as well).
It is a great time to be a gamer, that is for sure.

If I happen to touch an Atari controller
A friend's uncle has this heirloom.
And one day he took it and opened the box to play it for Christmas.
I mean, he literally let us play the Atari 2600.
another friend had a super nintendo
another a Game boy with pokemons
So that vacation was for everyone to bring a retro console to play in a house during that vacation.
