Some would call it cowardice to run away and take shots at the enemy from a distance. People can call it whatever they want, I find camping for the whole game more cowardly but that is my opinion. I like to at least present a challenge to other people playing. I do just that in this round of Fortnite.
I Ran, I Ran So Far Away
In this round I did a lot of running later in the match. I did a lot of fighting early on too. It kind of balances out. Not really but it felt like playing two variations in one round.
First, I used an SUV to get around, to escape a sweat that was using movement to chase “their elimination”. Some would say they were just playing the game but, honestly, how many players do you know that will chase THAT hard for an elimination?
Not many and 99.99% of them are sweats.
I made sure to stay on their mind though. Taking well placed shots here and there along the chase.
I then got a zip line and the claws which just added to my movement options.
Gathering Up Items for the Final Two
The very last part of this round was mostly spent collecting items for the final two players to use. Whoever took me out got a treasure trove of items to use in the final 1v1 of the round.
I feel that in Chapter 7 Fortnite has become more and more collectathon activities than it has been fighting. This could be said of most chapters leading up to the current one, but it feels more predominant here.
I think it is because certain locations will always have at least 1 chest in them. Usually, 4 to 5 in the surrounding area that, if you are familiar with, could be searched before the final players even land.
This means locations are more hot spots than they were in past chapters. At least I think so.
This can mean a fast game, or one with lots of early action and a short game for you. It really depends on who gets the chests first.
