3Speak The Final Fight Seemed Slightly Unfair But Still Gave It My All In Fortnite
Continuing the Fortnite fun and getting used to this season more, I believe I have found my favorite place to land. In the Simpsons season I liked dropping in at the pier in the Southern most area. It was ripe with supplies and weapons, and 90% of the time, there was a vehicle there, sometimes two. In Chapter 7 I have found a guard tower of sorts right between the forest and desert biomes that is often stocked with at least one long range weapon and a few close range, as well as supplies. Plus, West of there is often an SUV parked near the large building, that is also full of supplies and ammo.
No one drop there, horrible place to drop in, very bad strategically or something.
This round of Fortnite was interesting as I found myself in the forested area in between several mini battles going on. I thought for sure one of them would have seen me and picked me off from a distance, but everyone was busy dancing with the one that brought them.
The ending though, it seemed just slightly unfair but well within in the rules of the game. My opponent hired NPCs and used them to their advantage at the end.
I see nothing wrong with it, I use the lightning gun myself, and I feel it is overpowered and slightly unfair. It is well within the rules of the game though.
I did learn something new, apparently we can hire more than one NPC at the same time. I was not aware that was something we could do in Fortnite. I personally have stopped bothering with NPCs since the season prior to the Power Rangers event. I just find them not all that handy to have around, most of the time giving away my position when trying to drop in on an enemy.
I see now they may have a great use at the end of the game. I may have to rethink my strategy for NPCs.

When I first saw the cover, I thought it was Battlefront 2 Star Wars, but then I realized it was Fortnite. It's crazy how Fortnite has managed to secure deals with almost every game, brand, and comic book franchise in the world.
All about that money, plus Disney has invested heavily into Epic Games so getting their licenses will be much easier. I imagine once you get one large license, say DC Comics, it is probably harder to get something like Marvel since they don't really let their characters mix all that much in any other medium.
It is a little disheartening to get eliminated by Ned Flanders using a shotgun though, or being chased by that Adventure Time guy half way across the map - creating a bit of horror in the match.
From my experience working with companies since 2009, it is a matter of money and control limitations. For the most part, length of the contracted use and what type of use. Companies such as Nintendo and Sony have done similar things with their Smash Bros games, or playalikes, getting licensed characters from tons of outside companies.
I wish they would do it more, honestly.
I would love to be able to play Super Mario Kart and have the option to purchase non-Nintendo characters to play with. Instead, every company out there wants to attempt making their own kart racing game to compete, then fail horribly, and write it off as a bad idea all together.
There were negotiations to get Nintendo characters for Fortnite but the hold up was apparently Nintendo wanted them to be exclusive to their platforms - I guess everyone else would see a generic Fortnite character instead? Not ideal but I could see that working quite well, actually.
Would Epic go that route? Considering they did not already means probably not. It might be too big a strain on the system. I could see something like that being an option with only others on that same console to play against though - maybe 30 person maps rather than 100 or so.
I know they are doing an upcoming Harry Potter collaboration as well as a few others mixed in that season so that will be interesting. We already had broomsticks for mobility in Chapter 6, I believe.
The only missed opportunity I saw so far with their collabs was Transformers. What do you mean I can get an Optimus Prime skin but then cannot transform and become the vehicle mode for mobility? Plus they didn't bring in many Transformers, I believe only Optimus was used.
Using Megatron, G1 version, would have been awesome for duos - transform to his pistol mode and become the weapon for your partner. Same for his later altmodes - let your partner drive him in tank mode but you control the turret, or vice versa. Missed opportunity.
A very interesting game. In a shooting game, I hide in the woods and never come out again, hehehehe. Greetings, friend.
That is a very viable tactic. Just shows how different each person can play Fortnite and still enjoy themselves.
I tend to run towards enemy gunfire. I am mainly trying to get clips for my YouTube channel where I say dad jokes and educational clips over the gameplay for Shorts. I would post them here on Hive but it would flood the platform and I don't want to do that, I prefer to post a more curated selection of videos and articles here.
I also end up losing a lot of matches. 😂
