The 16-Bit Sega Genesis Ghostbusters game was somewhat an oddity. Not because this was outside of Sega’s normal releases. No, it was odd because they left out Winston Zeddemore. As Ghostbusters News points out, the character was in two movies, starred in the cartoon, and had several Kenner action figures. That was all before the Genesis game was released. It is quite unclear as to why he was left out of the game. Recently fans fixed this colossal mistake by adding Winston back into the game.
Almost based on the popular franchise
Several fans have come together to make this hack happen. Artists, designers, and programmers from all over are working to bring Winston to the rescue. It is worth noting that this is not a reskin of an existing character in the game. This is a adding a brand-new character to the game.
Winston will be the fourth Ghostbuster in the game and selectable like he was there from the start. You know, like he should have been.
Sadly, this is not the first time that Winston, and Ernie Hudson who played the character, have been left out of the fun. Ghostbusters News has many more instances if you are interested in checking them out.

It is sad, and gets sadder if you go over to Ghostbusters News, they have many more instances that Hudson was left out of things. So wrong.

I need to catch that one. I heard they have already greenlit a sequel to it so that is awesome news.
