Who remembers the Impossible Mission games? I was a huge fan of this series, no matter where I could play it, I was putting in some hours in it. I never beat it, not even the remake on the PlayStation Portable, but I have enjoyed every version so far. Well, there is a third entry in development and coming to Commodore 64.
Playing Secret Agent Was Never More Fun
Your role in Impossible Mission is to control a secret agent in their quest to stop the evil genius that is up to no good.
I am not sure of the story of Impossible Mission 3 but I figure it is like the first two games. Why mess with a formula that works?
Controlling your secret agent, you must run and jump around single screen rooms. Avoiding the robots and pitfalls of each is key but you must search machines and other items in the room for clues to find the professor.
The beauty of Impossible Mission is in the simplicity of it all.
Retro Franchises Are Never Dead
One thing about retro franchises is, they are never truly dead if there are fans. Sure, it helps if those fans have the talent to create new entries in those series, such as the case with Impossible Mission.
What is extremely important to note here is, Icon64’s version is an officially licensed release. They have gone above and beyond simply creating a sequel by acquiring the rights to do so.
Head over to the Icon64 Facebook page and check out not only Impossible Mission 3 but their other Commodore 64 games that are in development. Leave them some support while there if you can, we never know when things like that can help motivate and lift the spirits of developers.
Hmm, no thanks, source of youth rage 😂
Right!?!? I remember getting so mad over a missed jump, a robot barely grazing me, etc. It is definitely infuriating. 😂😂😂
8-Bit Hard is a picture of this game. 😂
