Doom was my first FPS game. I still remember when I played doom for the first time. Man!! I was getting sick just by playing and I was 12 at that time. Maybe be it was motion sickness. But that didn't stop me from playing.
I can say my love for FPS games was born from DOOM. The face of the health bar was always funny to me, don't know why 😅😅.
I cannot remember what my first FPS was, it wasn't Doom, it was a crappy clone that a friend brought to school. I was console only at the time and was not impressed. Years later I got a PC and a copy of Doom and was enthralled.
If you get motion sickness easily, stay far far away from Descent. Goodness, that game was motion sickness set to 1,000%.
I actually love the puzzle style games more. I don't mind fast paced FPS though. Some of the FPS are quite good. Wonderfully written article, I love it!
