Was reading up on this and found out that Atari had another cheaper home console that was crowdfunded. Unsurprisingly, it didn't sell very well. I don't know what Atari could do right now, I genuinely want them to succeed, but at what?

They also crowdfunded an Atari hat, with tweet speakers in the bill, a watch, and more things over the years. For a long time I was under the impression the new in charge people were simply in it for the nostalgia rather than actually trying to rebuild the company.

Even today, I am concerned. The severe lack of information on the Gamestation Go is concerning, yet so many are excited because "it is Atari". Please, y'all take off the rose colored glasses - blind devotion to a company is going to lead to bad endings eventually.

Similar to the Acclaim thing. I have seen people getting attacked for criticizing the graphics of things like Basketball Classics by people claiming it is wonderful, amazing, 'because it is Acclaim'.

Blind nostalgia is bad just like blind support for anything is bad.
