I am nearly 50 years old and it still feels like last week when I first played Super Mario Bros in the front of a Safeway in Northern California. I can vividly remember the birthday I got a NES with Duck Hunt and Super Mario Bros and how I played more Duck Hunt alternating with my dad (who had horrible arthritus) shooting ducks and clay pigeons.
It is amazing how games can have that kind of impact on us, even decades later. I hope kids growing up on PS5 and such develop similar wonderful memories themselves.
I will have to check out the Zelda one. I never got into that one back in the day, I could only rent it for a weekend at a time as it was forever sold out at local stores. Forget mail order when you are 11 to 15 years old - that is blasphemy lol.
Nostalgia can be a great thing, it can quickly separate us from our money too. Lol
Great stuff! #memorylane :)
