Starman and Fighter Hayabusa were my choices playing this one. So much fun, and those two characters played so differently. I have to give props to King Corn Kong for his using the piledriver.

I remember driving my friends crazy with Starman and his flip kick. One of my buddies who was bigger than me at the time would attack me during the match because I would just toy with him. Could have pinned him a long time ago but pull him up and flip kick him 3 or 4 more times just because I could!
I loved the context of doing moves. Like Hayabusa's kick, you had to be in the right position to hit it and your opponent better not be stunned when you try but oh so awesome if you could time it to hit as they come out of a stun.
That game was ahead of its time and made great use of the limited buttons available on the NES controller. I am surprised there was never a Super Nintendo sequel. I would have loved it, I am sure, or least would have bought it without renting just to get to the point. Lol.
I think there was never a sequel because Nintendo and others got the necessary license to have actual wrestlers in the game and even though a lot of those games were pure trash, people are obviously going to prefer fighting as Hulk Hogan than they are at some random made up character.
