The only thing that really bothers me about digital only is the totalitarian level of control console manufacturers have over the stores. Sony is shutting down the PS3 online store. I understand it costs money to keep these things open and available but why can't they migrate the old store content over to the next gen version? I know it is not easy, particularly because both Sony and Microsoft keep flip flopping between NVIDIA and AMD for graphics processors each generation but there has to be a work around somewhere - Steam doesn't give a rats ass if I play on an NVIDIA powered computer today, an AMD one tomorrow, then an Intel one running software mode only the next.
There are many games on Xbox 360 XBLA that I would love to play but Sega simply does not like money and those games do not include Sonic in any way so they are dead. Gone. That sucks.
Other than that little problem, I don't mind digital. No discs to scratch, lose, or eventually fail as they age - just install and go.
