I remember the EB I shopped at having a Jag up for demo purposes and whenever they put in Tempest 2000 or AVP there was a long line waiting to play (but oddly, no one buying it). Both looked great, for different reasons though.
I have heard from many people that Tempest 2000 is one the few good games available. Quite sad considering what could have been. From what I have read from programmers back then, it suffered a similar fate that the Saturn did - just too complicated to program for so they went with the easiest option which restricted how many games looked/played.
