Call of Duty Mobile offers a unique option for those that understand sound. You can hear where your enemy is coming from if you pay attention. They can hear you as well so cover your tracks and move stealthily.
As you can see here, I knew I was on a ledge that I could drop off of if ambushed, which I was. Knowing this forced the enemy to rethink his strategy. Also, when I dropped, you will see, I backed away enough to have the whole area (top, left and right) sides visible so he had no chance of another ambush.
Understanding, and owning, your surroundings will definitely help you survive in this mobile game. Sounds give away positions quite well. Different conditions will give different sounds so learn the difference between footsteps in grass versus those in dirt.
