First of all I want to say that I reached Global Elite rank in CSGO and in Valorant Diamond 3 and my opinion is based on my own experience in those games.
So the first thing I noticed is people in CSGO communicate more than in Valorant. Most of my Valorant games people don't use their microphone or they are just banned from voice chat for being toxic. But thats not the only case, Riot have disabled voice chat in certain countries like Russia etc, in my opinion thats a really bad move from them, why do we have mute option in the game? to mute someone if hes annoying, so why disable voice chat for people who want to talk and try to win with team only because they are from certain countries. Thats weird. I dont understand Riot decision. In this case CSGO wins over Valorant.
In CSGO Desert Eagle deals 150 damage per headshot (every range) , in Valorant Sheriff deals 145 damage when target is more than 30 meters away. Thats stupid. For real, people with good aim should be able to kill someone, since its not that easy to kill someone with Sheriff on a long range. In CSGO Desert Eagle is doing a great job for a years, so what Riot had in their minds? I dont know. I really feel like pistol rounds and eco rounds comes to spamming body shoots or just playing shotguns and SMG/Spectres. In CSGO getting headshots is hard but its profitable, in Valorant body shoot spamming can be more efficient as shooting 1 taps in head. Now about maps. In Valorant they are super narrow and short, you basically respawn and have position to aim with Operator/AWP, you just can't miss, since the game have slower pace than CSGO and narrow/short maps players will mostly wide pick at you. Shoulder picking or jiggle picking is just not efficient. Everyone complains about Operators/AWP in Valorant. Its too broken for those maps. Especially in Jett hands when she can take an agressive position, kill someone and then dash away. Just please Nerf Operators/AWP. In CSGO AWP/Operator is more rewarding but also harder, u can no-scope pretty easy, flick pretty easy, mape are wider, theres more spots to look at. In this case CSGO wins one more time over Valorant.
I need to admit Valorant wins here, they offer 128 tickrate servers that CSGO don't offer until u play Faceit.
About FPS it depends, for me I have more FPS in Valorant but I feel like CSGO is still more smoother than Valorant. But it still depends on PC, Valorant works heavy on processor and in this case Intel is doing better than AMD. Now about ping, its fine in both games, however Valorant matchmaking sucks. Let's say there are more than 3-4 Polish people, the server is going to be Polish, so if theres a guy not from Poland in the match hes going to have more ping than others. Basically its like u play game on Turkish server with full turk or Polish game with full Polish people. Its mostly based on country. I like how in CSGO we all play on France or Germany and ping is fair for everyone. I still think CSGO wins here.
I would say its easier to carry games in CSGO. Valorant requires a lot of communication and teamplay, since u have so many skills to stop push or either kill someone you can't play agressive, the gameplay is more slower in Valorant you basically go to bait enemy spells then comeback to the same site after 1 min. In CSGO I can push something and get those headshots and the only thing that can stop me is someone having better aim or just granades like smoke/molotov. You are better you win, in Valorant every noob can press skill and kill you, also they have a lot of weapons that are easy to use. You know why its harder to carry in Valorant? Because the game is easier. I meet so many people having Immortals+ that in CSGO were not even Legendary Eagle Mater (LEM). Look at Shroud (ex CSGO pro player for Cloud9 and one of the biggest FPS Gods in the world) going into Valorant losing match 0-13, then going into CSGO and carrying match with one hand. If you are casual Valorant will be more friendly for you and most likely you are going to reach higher level at this game than in CSGO.
Whats the reason between Gold/Platinium and Immortal/Radiant in Valorant. Immortals+ use their brain more often, they know the game and they are using spells correctly, but shooting/aim is almost the same. That's why aim training isn't so efficient for Valorant, there are more important things than aim in Valorant. In CSGO with pure aim you can easily reach highest rank (Global Elite) and the difference in ranks in CSGO, you can just feel it. Sometimes players are amazing and they are gonna kill you before you even realise where they are shooting you from. Guess CSGO wins again.
Valorant skins are cheaper than CSGO skins, but they bring no value to the account since theres no market in Riot games you can't sell them or trade them, also new skins in Valorant are released so often, so mostly u gonna want to spend money every 12 days on a new pack. Again big win for CSGO
In Valorant selecting right champions is the key to climb, mostly there will be 4 duelist/entry fraggers at your team so how to enter the site without smokes? how to get healed if you don't have Sage and u are low hp,enemy team will probably have 2 duelists, Healer, Smoker and someone to give information like Sova or Cypher(this scenario is really common). Champions matter a lot, when in CSGO theres no champions with different abilities. Sometimes I know the game is already lost in Lobby, thats sad but true. Also skills, they said that skills will be only addition and they won't be used to kill people, so what is doing Raze/Killjoy in this game? also Brimstone ultimate, Jett ultimate. There are spells that kill people. Riot lie to us. They promised skills will just help to make an opportunity to kill, and aim will be the key, but actually theres so many skills that looks like some Overwatch shit. HUGEEE WIN for CSGO there.
Big win for CSGO. In Valorant Immortal + games u can sit 10mins+ in lobby while in CSGO you can find matches really quickly around 2 minutes, at every rank.
I think Riot wins here, they know how to advertise their games and how to take care of them, they also have a huge budget to make it happen. Even if they failed a bit and people are not satisified in current state of game, I believe it will change over time and riot will make this game big, but can this beat CSGO? I think right now not, but in future - we will see. Nobody knows.
