Hello everyone,
In the last post I explained the creation of world by 3 goddesses and all the events that followed up until the ending of Ocarina of Time. In this post, I'll be talking about how Link is sent back in time to relive his childhood and all the events that follows.
I'll be talking about all the events that occur in the Adult timeline where there is no Hero of Time, as I believe it wouldn't stretch the post.
Oh, and if you haven't read the first, I do recommend you to read that before coming here to avoid any confusion. Let's get started.
Zelda Timeline
The Child Era
Immediately upon his return to the past, Link puts the Master Sword to the pedestal and warns Zelda of what happens. Zelda gives the ocarina of time to Link and tells him to run away so that Ganondorf will not succeed in getting the Triforce. The seven sages do not wake up in this timeline.
Link takes his trusted steed, Epona and sets of.
Legend of Zelda : Majora's Mask
Month pass by when Link finds himself in a mysterious forest that leads him to Termina, a parallel world to Hyrule. Termina is facing apocalypse as an Imp known as the skull kid gets his hands on Majora's Mask, which has an evil entity in it causes the Moon to crash into the Earth.
Link only has 72 hours or 3 days to stop the skull kid and prevent the crashing of moon onto the Earth. Using the Ocarina of time and a bunch of mask that gives Link specific abilities, Link succeeds in reviving 4 guardian giants who prevent the crashing of moon and beats both skull kid and Majora's mask.
Everyone in Termina celebrate for Link's triumph. Link, however, moves on to Hyrule to settle in Hyrule, apparently depressed that nobody remembers him as a hero.
Legend of Zelda : Twilight Princess
About a century pass by, when finally Ganondorf is due to be executed. However, since Link returns from the future in this timeline, he brings the Triforce of Courage with him. This causes the Triforce to be split and the Triforce of Power dutifully goes to Ganondorf.
Instead of dying at the hands of the seven sages, Ganondorf turns the tables and instead kills one of the seven sages. The remaining sages in panic, send him into the twilight realm.
There, Ganondorf makes a new ally, Zant. They plan of turning the light realm and the twilight realm into one single dark realm. Zant curses Midna, the twilight princess and ambush Hyrule. An unprepared army of Hyrule looses and Zelda surrenders to avoid more bloodshed.
Midna and Wolf Link
Midna finds Link, a direct descended of the hero of time. He transforms into a wolf when he enters into the twilight realm. Link restores some light and finds the master sword in the sacred groves. In the end, Link kills Ganondorf and Triforce of power fails him, Midna's curse is lifted and she returns to the twilight realm smashing the twilight mirror, so that both realms can't be connected no longer.
Legend of Zelda Four Sword Adventures
Several centuries later, the relation between the hylians and gerudos finally becomes friendly. But then, a new reincarnation of Ganondorf appears with all the memories of his previous life's. He plans to resurrect Vaati who is sealed inside the four swords.
Ganon creates multiple shadow Links and sensing trouble Zelda gathers the real Link and 6 shrine maidens to check on Vaati's seal when all are swept away. All by himself, Link pulls out the Four Sword, breaking the seal and Vaati is free. Link, once again, splits into 4 and goes save the 6 maidens. Then they go to the palace of winds, save Zelda.
They destroy Vaati and the palace of winds. They finally defeat Ganon and seal him inside the Four Sword this time which is set back into it's pedestal, returning Links back into one.
That just wraps up Child Era. Now, let's talk about the events that happened during the Adult Era.
Adult Era
This is an era where the hero of time is sent back in time and where he eventually becomes just a legend and people celebrate his story.
Eventually, Ganondorf's seal weakens and he escapes plunging Hyrule into darkness. People pray to the hero but he never appears. Feeling helpless, the King Daphnes entrusts his kingdom to the goddesses, who flood the world, plunging everyone except few into the bottom of the ocean. The princess escapes with a fraction of Triforce of wisdom.
Legend of Zelda : The Wind Waker
Drastic evolution occurs due to less land than ever before. The Kokiri has evolved to become tiny plant like creatures known as Korok. The fish-like creatures known as Zora slowly evolved into bird like creatures known as Rito. The Goron's however didn't change at all.
Ganon eventually escapes his grave and ends up killing 2 sages. He then goes on a search for princess Zelda to get the Triforce of Courage, by kidnapping any girl with pointy ears( talk about dedication). The Gods wake up King Daphnes to put a stop to Ganondorf. He finds Link, who had just been kicked out of Ganondorf's fortress in an attempt to rescue his sister.
With the help of a pirate Tetra, Link raises the Tower of the Gods and descends to Hyrule to retrieve the Master Sword. He goes on to challenge Ganondorf, only to know that the Master Sword is not awakened yet. He merely escapes only to find King Daphnes's true identity as he was concealing himself as a talking boat and that Tetra is actually the descendent of Zelda.
Link awakens 2 new sages who repower the Master Sword, finds the 8 pieces of Triforce of Courage that got shattered after the events of Ocarina of Time. He tries goes to try and defeat Ganondorf 1 more time only to find Zelda was kidnapped and Ganondorf almost wins as he gets all 3 Triforce.
Out of nowhere, King Daphnes appears and wishes to the Triforce to wash away Hyrule in hopes for a brighter future. Seeing that Ganondorf is distracted, Link plunges Master Sword into Ganon's head and Zelda uses her light arrows to turn Ganon into stone. Ganondorf, Hyrule and King Daphnes are washed away from the wish.
Legend of Zelda : Phantom Hourglass
A couple of months have passed and Link, Tetra and her pirate crew set out on a voyage, to find a new world. In few months pass, when they hear about a ghost ship known to be in waters ruled by the Ocean King. They find the ghost ship and Tetra jumps onto the ship only to be kidnapped and Link gets hurled onto an island.
The waters ruled by the Ocean King is a different dimension than Hyrule created by the gods. With the help of Linebeck, a sailor, Link gathers some spirits, gets a cool Phantom Sword.
He finds the ghost ship and after fighting the ghost baddies, he and Tetra return to his dimension, where to everyone's surprise only 10 minutes has passed!
Legend of Zelda : Spirit Tracks
At the end of their tiresome voyage, Link along with Tetra get to a new continent. This continent already has a spirit tower. Inside the demon king Malladus is sealed by the Gods a long long time ago.
This spirit tower is connected with 4 temples by a train, whose spirit tracks maintains the seal. Tetra finds New Hyrule and her soldiers wear green uniform to honour of her buddy Link, the hero of winds.
About a century later, the spirit tracks are disappearing and princess Zelda, the great great granddaughter of Tetra recruits Link a royal engineer to find out what's causing trouble. He heads to spirit tower where he finds out that chancellor Cole is trying to resurrect Malladus.
He and his hordes severe Zelda's soul from her body. Link and spirit Zelda ascend the spirit tower, to find Malladus resurrected in Zelda's body.
They take him to the dark realm where Zelda gets her body back and Malladus in his true form is defeated once and for all. The tribe who were guardians of the temples for centuries decide their work is done and return to heavens leaving New Hyrule with Link and Zelda.
That just wraps up both the Child Era and Adult Era. Hope everyone liked it and next I'll be posting all the events that occurred in the downfall timeline which occurs if Link dies at the hands of Ganon at the end of Ocarina of Time.
