the graphics are pretty simplistic and very much a throwback to the 90's. They likely could have made these graphics a lot better than they did but chose not to and instead made a massive story and some really innovative combat situations as far as weaknesses are concerned and how you go about discovering them.
For what it lacks in graphics it totally makes up for in gameplay and to me this is much more important anyway.
