Sega Visions was Sega's answer to Nintendo Power,
How did that end up working out for them? This was during a time when I was in my magazine buying prime and I never purchased a single edition.

Well, it was around for about 6 years or so but it never had the distribution that Nintendo Power did. I'm not sure it was even ever available on store shelves. Typically how it worked is that you would get a free 2 or 3 issue subscription if you registered a Sega product and then you could pay to continue the subscription. I know I had a subscription for a little while, probably from registering my Game Gear which was the only Sega hardware I owned at the time. The publication schedule was pretty irregular too with issues coming anywhere from 2 to 4 months apart.
