Greetings, friends! I'm excited to introduce my new game on Hive: PEPE'S GAME. It caught my eye because it's a frog game, and since I've always wanted to play a game on Hive, I decided to start with this one. I discovered it while reading posts by user @kenny-crane, started chatting with him, and got excited to play it. Let's see how it goes!
From what I read on the game's website, https://pepegame.xyz/faq.php, PEPE'S GAME is about three frog friends who go on an adventure, and we have to help them. By winning card battles, you help them progress on their journey.
PEPE GAME is a web-based game that simulates the classic experience of the most popular collectible card games. Its goal is to provide entertainment through exciting card battles, the satisfaction of opening packs, and the functionality of a marketplace for trading both packs and individual cards.

The game's internal currency is called VOLTs, and it's important to understand that VOLTs are only a digital number within our centralized database and have no monetary, real, or fiat value outside of the game.
How can we play the Battle Card Game?
Click the PLAY link for the Frog Battle Card Adventure Game.Select an adventure. You'll be notified if you need to pay a fee in Volts, the game's currency. You can play once every few hours for free. You can play more, but it will cost you 1 or more Volts. Pay the Volts or play for free if that's an option. Select three cards and then click Battle. The battle will begin. Watch the screen as the battle intensifies! At the end, it will tell you who won. If you won, you'll receive a reward!*
Once I read the rules, I went to PEPE's Game to put everything I'd read into practice.
I was lucky enough to receive two packs from the user @kenny-crane so I could get started.

First pack opened
I got one Epic card and two Common cards. I don't really know the game mechanics yet, but I'm sure I'll learn soon.

Second pack opened: I got one Rare card and two Common cards.

Playing or entering the game: I decided to start battling because I need to gain experience somehow.

When I click "play," it tells me to select a battle. I guess I'll choose level 1 since I'm just starting out.

It tells me to select 3 cards.

I selected an epic card, a rare card, and a common card.
Now it's asking me to add gems or start battling. I don't think I have any gems, so I'll choose to battle.

My first battle in Pepe's Game and I won! From what I can see here, I won:
XP: 1
Volts: 1
Gem: None
That's pretty good for a first time. This is my first game post on Hive.

Then I started exploring the game and checking things out. I saw a familiar name, the user @tydynrain. I remember him because he has a peculiar profile picture. I'm glad to see him here; I love his Alive token.

I assume this image shows the two packs I received as a gift. Thanks to my mentor @kenny-crane.

And while searching, I found the data from my first battle.

I'm just getting to know the game and I don't understand much about the battles yet, but I'll try to learn and keep up with the game. Thanks for reading. Many blessings. Best regards to all.

This is a great review of the PEPE Game, thanks so much for making this post!!!
I see that most of the English words were translated to Spanish, which is great for Spanish speakers. I was hoping browsers could translate the text but I had not tested it. Now I see that it works.
So you got some NICE Cards in those 2 packs! Putting your Epic Melee frog in the first position was a very smart move! You can try different combinations and see what you like. There is a bit more info on the game on the FAQ page, which I see you have already been to. You can read more about the cards and the battle rules there.
Wishing you lots of luck in all your battles! Enjoy the game! :)

This game deals with centralization and decentralization; could it be considered a Hive game?
Well it is a game for HIVE people but the game's data is not stored on the HIVE blockchain, which would make it decentralized. Most other HIVE games do store their data on chain. But the in-game currency of VOLTs is exchangeable for HBD at a fixed rate of 1000 VOLTs = 1 HBD so that is another connection the game has with HIVE.
So maybe it is a Hive game and maybe it isn't. I'll let each individual decide for themselves. In any case, it's about having a fun gaming experience and some people do like the game. So even though we're in the early stages, people are playing daily so I consider it a success!
Interesting, I love it! Is this part of something in its early stages? Are there plans for updates and other things later on? I'm still learning, but I think it's a great way to pass the time. And that way I'll have something to write about in my posts. Thanks!
Thank you so much. I'm still figuring out the game, but I know that as I play it, I'll learn its mechanics. Thank you so much. And yes, I like that it can be translated into Spanish. I'm definitely reading it and I'm going to try to buy two packs to keep improving. Thank you so much for everything.
Based on the pics you shared in your post, I think the process of the browser translating the words into Spanish might have affected the battle graphics and therefore maybe the sounds too. At the end of the battle, the losing team should have no cards showing on the board. Each time a card goes to zero health, it should disappear. So you might want to try a battle without having the browser do the translation some time, so you can see the graphics of the battle and hear the sounds, if you want. :)
Getting more packs will definitely let you move forward in the game. You can buy them for VOLTs and you can get more VOLTs by sending in HBD. One HBD would get you 1000 VOLTs which is enough to buy 2 packs.
There is also a pack Market where players can sell unopened packs. Sometimes I sell packs there at a nice discount so it is worth checking!
And there is a card Market too, where players can buy and sell individual cards. You can check that sometimes too, if you want.
Good luck in all your battles! :)

Warm welcome to the Pepe Game, my friend, and this is an excellent post about it! I think that you'll get the hang of things quickly, and as you buy more packs, and begin combining cards, you'll progress in the levels. The first adventure can be played every hour, with the other adventures being either every 2 or every 3 hours. Also, VOLT can be used in multiple ways. You can use it to buy card packs and individual cards, you can stake it to give a daily payout in VOLT and to earn GOV tokens, and every 10 days you can convert 1,000 or 2,000 VOLT into HBD, which I've done 3 times so far, for a total of 8 HBD from the game that I now have in Savings. I'm grateful that you appreciate seeing me on the leaderboard, and that you love our token, ALIVE! Have fun in the game! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Greetings, friend. The Token Alive game has become very tempting since it started giving out cash, and Pepe's game seems interesting, especially now with what you've told me. Is the betting and all that part of the game itself, or is it on the Hive Engine? How can I tell? Where can I find detailed information?

Hello again, my friend. I'm glad to hear that that you appreciate the daily ALIVE dividends, and I figured that it would increase interest in our token. I think that you'll like the Pepe Game, as it's quite simple and easy to understand and play, and It does have direct benefit to you on Hive. Hive Engine is not involved at all, actually. If you click on the menu at the top of the game, you'll see a link for Tokens, and if you click that it will take you to a page where you'll be able to stake, unstake, and convert VOLT into HBD, which will be sent directly into your Hive wallet in usually fewer than 10 minutes. Let me know if you have any other questions. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
