I have been staying at a hospital with my daughter since this Monday as she caught a tough cold (she is recovering and drawing "Rohrposts").
My partner visits us during the day time. While he is here, I take a walk to a nearby organic store. Today, I found asparagus plants at the store ....... It was my first time to see them sold at a store!! Wow wow wow.
Of course I bought a pot 😆 I couldn't help telling my excitement to a person at the register. I was happy to see her smiled and said it was new for her too.
I wanted to have Asparagus plants in my garden for long but always I hesitated to have them. The reason is that it takes three years from sewing seeds to harvest.
I may have some already this year ............ no. I must wait until next year.
But I'm so so so happy to welcome the plant in my balcony garden once we are out from the hospital.
子供ががっつり風邪をひいて入院中で、付き添っています。昼間に相方が来るので、その間に近くのオーガニックショップまで散歩するのがこの数日の楽しみです。
今日はなんとアスパラガスの苗を見つけました・・・・・・・。種が売られているのは見かけるものの、お店で苗が売られているのを見るのは初めてです。
「はじめてみました！！すごい！」と言う興奮気味で寝不足でノーメイクの怪しい私に、お店のお姉さんは「めずらしいですよー、私もはじめてです」と笑顔で言ってくれました。
アスパラガスは大好きな野菜で、以前から植えたいとは思っていたのですが、種から育て始めると収穫まで3年かかるので迷ってはやめてを繰り返していました。今年はもう収穫できるかもしれない............いや、できない w ポットの説明を読むと来年まで待ってくださいとのこと。でも1年なら待てそうです。
子供が退院したらバルコニーの一鉢にいちごと一緒に植えようと思います。
もうガーデニングの季節ですね！アスパラいいですね、おいしそう〜。コチラの種まきは来月から６月にかけてくらいかなと考えています。娘さんお大事に^_^
Koto-art さん、コメントありがとうございます。こちらはようやく安定して暖かくなってきた感じはありますが、夏野菜は5月半ばまで待って植え付けという鉄則があって、楽しみに待つ日々です。家に帰ったらゴーヤなどの苗づくりを始めます😊

アスパラガスを育てるのってそんなに長い月日がかかるんですね！私もガーデニングが好きで毎年色々植えるんですがうまく育てられないんです。ネットで育て方を調べて頑張ってもダメで何が悪いのでしょうね😅まさに black thumb というやつです。
今年は何を植えようかな〜。楽しみです！
アスパラガス、一度軌道に乗ると10年くらいは収穫できるとどこかで読んだことがあり、最初のハードルを乗り越えられれば…がんばってみます😊
