I went out to the balcony in the afternoon as we were traveling back from southern Germany to attend a wedding.
Strawberries are still productive. We picked up some for my partner who caught cold and is recovering.
Fire bean plants were not happy with the recent fresh and rainy weather. They made their leaves brown and dry. I removed old leaves to make the balcony look nicer and give more sun lights to other plants. Autumn comes. I like the color of old leaves.
There are new friends from the plant market last weekend. I bought three fig trees and a couple of a male and a female kiwi trees.
I thought about buying a fig tree but I changed my mind to buy one more for the community garden I maintain. Then there was one left at the store. Since it was almost at the end of the market, I couldn't help buying the last one ... it may want to stay in touch with its friends or siblings. I remember one of my friends wanted to have a fig tree 😊 I brought one already to the friend.
About the kiwi couple, I am wondering I shall plant it in one of the community garden containers since few times of vandalism happened recently; young tomatoes were taken from the plant, kales were broken, blue berry plants and basil were pulled and stolen, someone splayed on a container and so on ... I will think about it some more time next week. This is really sad ...
I must stay optimistic but ja I felt heart broken for a few days when I find vandalism ... But I know plants are strong. Strawberries are shouting to me "we are ready to be planted!"
I go to the community garden tomorrow after a week and plant bulbs for next spring, strawberry plants on top and sow corn salad, winter miner's lettuce and other winter hardy ones on top. I saw somewhere it's called "plant lasagna" and instantly liked the name.

昨日から南ドイツでの結婚式に出かけていたので、今日は午後バルコニーに出ました。秋ですね。
いちごはまだ元気に実をつけています・・・というか最近勢いを盛り返してきました。パートナーが先週風邪を引いて療養中なので、子供と収穫してコンピューターの近くに置いておきました。個々人の体の持って生まれた性質もあるとは思うものの、もうちょっときちんと食べたら（朝甘いものだけだったり、お昼に冷凍ピザ食べたり、お菓子食べまくったりしなかったら w）そんなに風邪は引かないのかな・・・まあ私はお母さんではないので何も言いません。
最近ぐっと気温が下がって、雨の日なんかは寒いくらいで、紅花インゲンはあまりうれしくないようです。葉が茶色く枯れてきたので、種とり用の植物とサヤを残して、古い葉を取り除いて、他の植物にもっと日光があたるようにしました。枯れた葉っぱの秋の色がきれいでした。
先週末の植物市で買ってきた新しいお友達がバルコニーに鎮座しています。3本のいちじくの木と、雄と雌のキウイの木を1対購入して自転車に乗って背負って帰ってきました。わさわさした怪しい自転車は知人に目撃されていました😂
当初いちじくは一本買おうと思っていたのですが、コミュニティガーデンにも植えたいなともう一本買うことにしました。そうしたらお店には最後の一本が残ってしまい、植物市も終わりに近く、友達がいちじくの木を欲しがっていたのを思い出し（言い訳）、最後の一本も購入してしまいました。
キウイの木については、最近何度かコミュニティガーデンで問題が起きていて、どうするかもう少し考えるつもりです。まだ緑のトマトがもがれていたり、ケールが折られていたり、ブルーベリーやバジルが根こそぎ引っこ抜かれて持っていかれてしまったり・・・あと、グラフィティのスプレーでペイントされたコンテナもあると友人が教えてくれたので、明日見てきます。公共の場なので覚悟はしていたものの、なんだかなあ。。。なんでそんなことをするのだろう。対策も考えないといけません。
人間のもやもやには我関せずといった感じで、いちごが「もう植え付けていいよー」と言っています。この自然の我が道を行く感じ、元気をもらえます。ガーデニングっていいな。
明日、1週間ぶりにコミュニティガーデンに行く予定で、来春用の球根を植えて、そのいちごを上に植えて、冬に強い植物の種を上にまく予定です。どこかでこんな感じで植え付けることを「植物のラザニア」と呼ばれていたのを目にしました。いい名前！

They are tasty. I am impressed that late summer varieties are still productive :)
