I love the sea, but I think that living there must be a continuous struggle with the radiant sun and I can't even imagine the arduous task of maintaining a garden.

Ha, well, it's hotter inland where we are with no sea breeze to cool us down. And yes, it's arduous that's for sure - but worth it.
