Greetings, friends.
The time difference between these two photos is two days. I completed the first one on Saturday morning, and I did the second one today, on Monday.
Now we can say that the golden autumn is over, the period of boring, wet gray autumn has begun, when people say that everything will freeze sooner and winter will arrive.
Where did all the gold of the foliage go?
Saturday afternoon was sunny and warm, as if it were only the beginning of September. I spent most of the day gardening: pruning pears and apple trees, and began painting tree trunks. I planned to continue this work on Sunday, but the saying worked: "If you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans." At eight o'clock in the evening, a cold north wind blew, which intensified in the morning and began to drizzle. The wind and rain blew away all the golden leaves.
It rained all Sunday, the air temperature dropped from +14 degrees to zero, and I was unable to carry out all my plans.
But Saturday was a wonderful day. I still had one apple tree with incomplete apples. I don't remember the name of the variety, but these apples can be preserved until the New Year; this is the so-called winter variety. There were still green leaves on the apple tree, but today the tree is also bare.
In 2 weeks, if the weather permits and there is not much rain, I will need to treat the trees and bushes with a solution of iron sulfate. Due to climate change, I see active damage to trees by fungal diseases and lichens in our area. This applies not only to trees in gardens, but also in the forest.
Until about 10 years ago, I did not treat trees with such preparations, and there were no signs of scab or fungus on the trunks. But now I do it in the fall and spring.
The last berries that I have not yet fully harvested in the garden are chokeberries. I leave some of these berries for the birds. Last winter, they were well eaten by the Fieldfare, who stayed for the winter and did not fly to warmer regions.
I also had plans to process the siderates. I need to mow them down so that they rot in the garden bed and improve the soil structure.
I use phacelia grass as siderates. It grows rapidly and gains a green mass. It is an excellent organic fertilizer and inexpensive for money.
Oh, yes, I still have Remontant strawberries; they continue to bloom and produce berries, but they no longer have a summer taste.
Thanks for reading...

Good luck and have fun
Look at all those strawberry blossoms! I've never seen that variety with berries so late in the year
It has been unseasonably warm here, but it's always good to be prepared for what comes next!
Omg … so much difference
