Fixing the terrible garden
so i posted the other week about how our garden is all yukka plants and mostly planted on top of the retaining wall and all the drainage pipes (which the broke..) So we have had to rip most of it out. AND i want to plant flowers... and vegetables ... useful things for us and the wildlife... NOT yukkas.. ain't nobody love those. (sorry yukka plants)
Fixing the front corner
so this is a tiny spot next to the house in the front. that had 3 yukka plants that were eating int next doors retaining wall. they were VERY glad we moved in and wanted to remove them.
we removed them a year ago... go the stumps ground a month ago then YESTERDAY i decided to "fix it up"
so i haulled in 20 bags of soil and compost... used the mulch from the stumps as mulch and bought some plants.
$150 latter and we have a cute little area that is NOT three yukka plants.

you can see how close these are to the retaining wall... it goes down 2meters here. in fact under the surface they were pushing on the wall.
Mid garden planning
i was going to grow own seeds... but... yeah... nope not this time... I HAVE planted some seeds in there though as well.
I built up the ground a touch as rosemary does not like wet feet at all and i wanted a bit more drainage in the area.

Anyway thanks so much for stopping along and reading my posts I am just loving my HIVE experience so far. Such a fun platform for sure.
For those that don't know my i'm currently focusing on Daily painting and somewhat amusing my self and my family with Acrylic pouring.. lol.. i wish i had a separate studio for that as it is so messy.
