Gardening is not only about raising vegetables or root crops. It is also growing ornamental and flowering plants at home. Plants at home not only provide fresh air, or give off oxygen but also filter dust particles in the air. It is also a stress reliever especially when we watched our plants grow little by little every day. Others raised ornamental and flowering plants as their way of living. They earned income by selling these to an interested client. Others grow these plants for landscaping purposes in houses, commercial, and industries.
I inherited this attitude of being a plant lover from my mother. When I was a child, I already loved growing ornamental and flowering plants at home. This was my way of keeping myself busy to escape thinking about problems and worries in life. Finally growing ornamental and flowering plants became my hobby. During the pandemic, I sold different varieties of my ornamental plants at home. So my dear hive friends, today's blog let me share with you several varieties of ornamental and flowering plants I had at home. I only have simple varieties since buying just to own a particular variety is not my hobby.
These are my ornamentals and flowering plants at home.
Philodendron

Spider Plants

Cosmos or Universe Plant
Banana Plant or Saging- Saging
Wave of Love
Philodendron Orlando is another ornamental plant popular in the Philippines. It is easy to grow and surely you will like it. Its leaves are long and elongated.
Palm Trees or Palmera is a tropical plant and easy to grow. It has long slender leaves and a suitable for indoor and outdoor decorations.
Gabi-gabi or Alocasia
This is one of the ornamental plants which is common in the Philippines. There are more or less 1000 varieties of Gabi- gabi in the Philippines. It is also good for landscaping or indoor decorations.

There are so many kinds or classes of ornamental plants I had raised or grown at home. I have different varieties of spider plants, peace lilies, anthurium, five fingers, san francisco, butterflies, and a lot more. Some of which I don't know its name yet. When I grow these plants at home, Im only particular about how it is cared for, their leaf design, and their color. Having these plants at home makes me happy and smile from time to time. Even if I am very busy with my work but I spend a little time caring for these plants at home. How about you? Are you a plantita lover too? I hope so.

Woaah Ang Dami mong plants sis. Yes gardening is not limited to vegetables and tubers but also to flowers.
I am not fond of planting flowers, promised. You cannot find any flower in our house today. I love to appreciate them but I don't know why I don't love planting flowers. I better plant spring onions and other vegetables in the pot than flowers.
Don't think negative but might I just chose to plant vegetables in a pot because we don't have enough space and planting vegetables is beneficial for us. Might be if we have big backyard for our vegetables and big front yard for flowers why not Diba? Hehehe but for now Walang enough space kaya gulay lang Muna hehehe.
