Yesterday I was at my mom's place and looked around in the garden, how much plants can I still find in this time of the year. Spoiler alert, not much... everything is dying. It's October and majority of the plants that are blooming during the summer months are now history. However not all is gone!
I used my phone to roam around in the garden a bit and take photos of the remainin plants I could find.
Panicled Hydrangea. This flower started blooming in late summer and can carry on well into autumn.
A hardy one!

Big leafed plant at the front is Hosta. It regrows every year, grows through the summer until late in Autumn. At the back there a regular fern and purple flower is a Stonecrop. Its a late summer and autumn plant as well.

Here is Tagetes. I have grown these myself and they usually bloom for a long while. Starting around later in June and can bloom well into the autumn months. Hardy ones too.

Purple Coneflower. It usually blooms from mid to late summer but is still here right now. The blooms seem to be fading now since we get around zero temperatures at nights. Bees and birds love this flower for its seeds!

This is it for garden plants, nothing more to show really.
But there is also a greenhouse, and inside a lot of tomato plants. Majority of the tomatoes are already picked but not all. Some are still growing. Not sure if the last ones will be ready but inside the greenhouse the temps should not fall to negative yet. At the back wall you can also see a cucumber plant. A couple of them were still on the plant.

So yeah this is it. Not a very wide variety of plants still there. Im pretty sure that in a months time, when November starts, there is nothing left anymore. Well, if there is, then I'm gonna make another post of this tough plant!

Your mom's garden is beautiful. And there are still plants that thrive after all.
Yess, enjoying all the colors and greenery before it's gone.
It’s lovely to see how the garden still has some life left even as summer fades. The hydrangea and tagetes must add a nice touch of color, and it’s great that the greenhouse is still giving fresh tomatoes and cucumbers.
There are many people who love flowers and plants as much as I do and try to spend most of their lives among them, and whenever a plant in our garden dies, we become very sad.
